I got an xbox 360 elite today at a very good price, €199 ( around 296$) and I've been wondering why they keep excluding the wireless adapter from the bundle? it's not like I didn't know that I'd not get it, but it's stupid imo, when the rival has it built-in and the whole package is just a bit more expensive. Well..I think I'll buy it somewhere second-handed, I can't spend 60 euros for it:|

Dunno why they don't include wireless, but I just use the cable that came with it.

You don't have to use the official Microsoft Wireless adapter. I bought one of the TrendNET Wireless N gaming adapters that works with the Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3 as well as other devices such as blu-ray players and it only cost me $29.99 from Amazon.

It was stupid of Sony to include wireless for a system that has inferior online. The majority of people, myself included use hardwire because 1) more secure 2) faster 3) cheaper

I can't hardwire it, I'd need a very long ethernet cable, cause the modem is in the living room, while my consoles are in my bedroom. it's not like I can move the modem, I should move the consoles and put them in the living room, but no thanks. that's why I'd need a wireless adapter

well you really dont need to run cat 5, but thats the wire that you run for ethernet, its called cat 5 because its 5 twists per inch and it is a four pair. I make these cables all day long, its not really a dead situation for you, if you knew a guy like me they could do it for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeee or maybe for a nice dinner with some coca cola, where are you from?

also if you had cable in your room you could definitely move the modem and the wireless router.

Should it be built in like the PS3? Yes I think so. Most ppl probably are close enough to their computer to use ethernet though, so it sucks for those that have to buy a wifi adapter. Lucky for me I got a used one at Gamestop for $60. :D
