I happened to find a Wal Mart that had both a Wii and an Elite. I've never even seen them in stores before. I impulse bought them both but realized when I got home that I really can't afford both. You "friendly neighborhood gamers" can help me decide which to keep. The other one is going on Ebay tonight. So which one should I get rid of?

Well, the smart move is to put ur Wii on ebay.

That would get u more money, cause i don't really think the Elite will be worth more on ebay than in stores. Hey i might be wrong, just do some research first, IE check store stock of each console, and overall selling price on ebay.

Keep the elite and sell the Wii on ebay you will get more profit but you gotta sell it now because prices are starting to go down.

really if you want to make more money sell elite online though i doubt you get much from both. 360 haave better games than wii at the moment.

so look at the game section and decide for yourself.

i think you are going to get about the same. Assuming you haven't opened any of them. If you ebay the Wii (auction) that would depend on how much money you get back, if you do a "buy now" it depends on how much you are selling for (depending on what average at this point for wii consoles on ebay). But if you do a "buy now" for the elite you would get atleast $400" i don't if you will get that much back for the wii on ebay. So look at how much you can get back from each console and decide. On keeping which console that depends on which one has the games you like. But im sure you'll get the most money back guarenteed by ebaying the elite but you would have to risk trying to get $400 back from selling the Wii. But if you could get $400 for ebaying the wii you have a better profit margin. So it really depends on what you want to risk.

Sell the Wii at a profit and buy another Wii somewhere around August, if you really want one.

So if people are still paying a lot for the wii on ebay than ebay the wii, there's a bigger profit margin.

ditch the elite and wait for them to finally put in the new 65nm chips so they can fix their hardware, heating, and power usage issues.

maybe just look at the games out now + the games coming out in the next year.  That's always the safest bet.

Don't sell the elite and the post here about how you hate how nintendo rehashes mario and zelda and donkey kong and star fox.  Dont come here and say nintendo lives in the past with crummy online and no GTA game.

Don't sell the wii and then complain about wanting a console your girlfriend will play or about how FPS are getting old.  Also understand there is like a 5% chance the 360 will die on you (maybe more judging by this forum)

Other than that, they are both great consoles with bright futures, so you can't really go wrong :)
