Xbox 360 for PS3 - Good trade?

So, I decided to trade my 360 for my friend's PS3. I'm content, the fear of RROD and E75 (of the sort) have left me, and I'm left with a Playstation.

Specifics:

My XBox 360 - an arcade with no scratches, used under 20 times. No hard drive, only a 256 Memory Unit, Guitar Hero 3 (w/ guitar), Sega Superstars tennis, crackdown, and GOW1, and 3 months of live. I got the xbox on black friday for 240 with guitar hero and the controller, and I bought crackdown and GOW for 35 combined. the sega game came with the xbox. No demos, SBL purchases on the card. Estimated value - 295. (300)

His PS3 - a bit roughed up, the plate next to the disk tray is missing, the led board (if the ps3 even has one) is missing, it came with no powercord so I had to use mine from an old computer (good idea?), a wireless controller, a blu-ray player, a 40gb hard drive loaded with trailers, movies, demos, a copy of wipeout hd and gt prologue. Estimated value - ?

I've always wanted a ps3, but the xbox was much cheaper.

Please, give me an unbiased answer: was this a good trade or not?

the small curvy rectangular piece to the left of the disk tray. and i thought the ps3 was supposed to emit blue led lights? maybe not. it looks like theres something missing there, that's why.

Sounds like you got screwed. Personal opinion on which console has better games aside, you traded a shall we say mint condition machine for a piece of beat up junk. And that's a good deal how?

the only problems are hardware problems, not software probelms. I'm going to clean it up with an air canister, and I'll get a skin to cover the scratches. problem solved?

@rgsniper-good point, but it's like trading a brand new tata nano (the world's cheapest car) with something like a...beat toyota or something. while the tata nano maybe new now, but since it's so cheap there's a chance it might break down, while the beat toyota is old but is still running fine.

sorry for the cheap comparison there, it was the first thing that came to mind, but that's the best I can put it.

Depend who will have the best exclusive games this year and next? everyone knows the PS3 will but do your own research and find out yourself..I say its a really good trade...

No, it is not a good trade, simply because you will now miss on a vast ammount of stunning PC titles 360 got and its own exlcusives, plus expansions for Fallout 3 etc

Don't worry, it's just the fanboys.

A mint 360 with a bunch of games and a guitar controller sounds much better than a scratched up, partially broken PS3 with no cables or good games.

exactly what I was thinking. he gets to play live with his cousins while I get my gundam games and MGS.
