Xbox 360 GTA is better than the PS3 version... PROOF INSIDE

Ok i've been studying these screenshots for hours and I have come to the conclusion that the graphics for the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV are actually slightly better than the PS3 version.

These were taking at exactly the same place and I used a frame capture to capture the image. As you can clearly see the Xbox 360 version is a lot clearer. The PS3 version is very blurry and also has a few pixel errors which is quite shocking to be honest. What also shocked me was that the PS3 version can't be played in widescreen because the frame don't stretch wide enough.. pretty poor for the "Best console 2006"

Why has there been so many threads like this over the last few weeks?

If a reviewer states one version is better than the other (which happened for GTAIV) it doesn't make it a fact. Writing off your opinion as a fact doesn't make it a fact either, and repeating exactly the same thing a million times doesn't make it a fact either.

Just play the game and enjoy it. I can't believe people are still trying to justify to themselves that they made the right purchase. Just enjoy the game - it's awesome, on both consoles.

might just be me, my new glasses and my 22"LCD monitor, but those are the same damn picture. and even though you might have superman vision, you couldn't posebly see the difference in that picture.

360 GTA is better cause the consumer declared it was better by more copies being bought. dont give me console attach rates...im talking total sales.

Doh. It's called post-processing effects, which will blur objects in the distance and sharpen closer objects. This proves nothing. As a matter of fact, most video rendering tools employ post-processing effects very heavily. I'm surprised the PS3 is able to do it in real time.AmyMizuno

Post-processing a blur to soften jaggies is computationally much less expensive than doing proper anti-aliasing. It sounds fanboyish but the PS3 just can't keep up with the 360 in this case.
