Why does the 360 hardware suck so bad?GsSanAndreasWhy is it ms fault the makers of guitar hero are the ones that mucked up. Man you cows get on my nerves at times.
Old. Not Microsoft's fault.foxhound_fox
it might be, or it might not... nobody knows yet.

[QUOTE="GsSanAndreas"]Why does the 360 hardware suck so bad?whitetiger3521

Um, that "crap hardware" is putting the PS3 to shame at every turn so I wouldn't say too much about it.

just how microsoft blames all the people that the disk scratches is their fault and the 360 have nothin to do with it...which is bs because they finally admit that it was their faulty hardware that causes all the scratches..lol..seriouly the 360 is a piece of junk right now. it cant do nothin right...its like all 360 will soon be curse with the dreadful red lights.
Lemmings come up with the worst excuses:lol:
Have you not seen the limitless ammount of hardware failures, and yes its Microsofts fault for the shoty hardware, they are the ones making itGsSanAndreas
I haven't had a problem with my Xbox 360 and don't care. I had more faulty Sony hardware(not just game consoles) than faulty MS hardware as you call it.
Lemmings come up with the worst excuses:lol:

Yeah I think the failure rate is higher than 3%

Exactly if it was build better the 360 woudlnt be in this position..

Where does that say it causes the Ring of Death?
It says some systems are having issues. Red Ring of Death is hardware failure. When was the last time a software update busted up your motherboard?
It probably bricks some systems, which happens to a few systems with each update. Just look at Nintendo's first update on the Wii.

exactly here in the article, "However forum threads quickly sprang up on Xbox.com and the official Guitar Hero website complaining that the patch was followed immediately by system freezes and, in some cases, the dreaded ring of death - the only answer to which is returning the console to Microsoft."
*edit* change the color of font, I made it easier for you.

Actually, that was in the link inside the original story you posted, so you linked incorrectly, I did not fail to read it right.
And I am still suprised that a software update would cause hardware failure, as that seems against all logic.
but way is the devs falt. why should an a patch creat this proplem in the first place. have you seen a patch killll your pc no. it is the 360 falt.GARRYTH
um if its the 360's fault then how come no one was complaining about this until after this new patch? its clearly a problem with the patch and thats why redoctane has come out and said they are woeking on in.

Since when have you EVER heard of simple game patches killing the machines those games play on? NEVER Until the 360. That right there is sign enough that it's MS's fault with this SHODDY POORLY BUILT CRAPTASTIC hardware. I have a right to complain about this too, the same crap happened to my first 360 within a couple months of purchasing it. Xbots defending this just show how big your fanboyism is and how your opinion should never be taken seriously. Xbots = the real true cows this generation.

Actually I'm pretty sure the Gamecubes failure rate is vurtually non existent.
And most of the Wii's failure problems have been from their owners own stupidity, which I imagine attributes to more of the Xbox failures than people will admit.
The worst hardware is Sony. My PS1 I had to play upside down or the damn thing wouldn't work, and my FIRST PS2 worked for a few years until the infamous Disc Red Error Saga. I sent it off got it back where it worked for a year and then did it agin. I finally put the girl out of her misery. Bought a slim PS2 off a friend for $20 just to play Guitar Hero. I will never pay for another Sony Consle again.

I find it very odd that you would look at it like that.....fact is a software update shouldn't be putting rings around your disks thereby making them unplayable again.
Yep there was a problem with the software....guess what, the problem became when you have bad hardware to boot. Both bad hardware/software = bad business.
When I update windows on my computer I'm certainly not worried about it turning my dvd player into the ring of death. Lockups, I understand that....actually damaging your game disk is totally the responsiblity of Microsofts poor designs for the console. It's amazing they still have yet to fix this issue......maybe they have in newer models but can't announce it because it would leave them open to litigation?
It sucks for 360 owners with the game, to buy it and after the patch getting screwed.
It could be MS' fault because of the 360 not supporting the patch correctly and it could just be red octane.
[QUOTE="GsSanAndreas"]Why does the 360 hardware suck so bad?DuckyindianaWhy is it ms fault the makers of guitar hero are the ones that mucked up. Man you cows get on my nerves at times.
uhh... it shouldnt be so easy to "muck it up", period. this is ridiculous that people wont admit that theres hardware flaws, even when a patch for a game is causing it.
Damn, the 360's hardware is increasingly dying.
I would say the hardware can last for 2 years then it will just die. LOL. Poor Lemmings.
You would think A patch from red octane would just affect their game itself. It shouldn't be doing anything to the hardware, that should come from MS itself.
But if there is a coding error in the patch, then god knows what damage it can do.
I wish cows would shut the hell up about faulty hardware. You suffered through 2 generations of it. Practically every person I know that had the original Playstation were playing them upside down. And I still have the paper letting me know that If I wanted I could be part of a class action lawsuit because of the issues with the PS2.
People that lived in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
This is not a defense of MS's problems but cows really can't talk. Once again, hypocrisy is king on the dairy farm.

ok, so by your logic, its the software's fault, right? and its all because Red Octane put it there ON PURPOSE to muck up those Xboxes...
why you lemmings completely blame the problem on the dev and think that MS is perfect and all-powerful?

Have you ever thought that maybe Red Octane screwed up? Activision completely screwed up their Marvel Ultimate Alliance update, is that MS's fault too? How about the fact that this happened after the Red Octane patch was applied? That should tell you something also...
At this point they are investigating what is happening. why don't you let them do that before you make stupid accusations? If there wasn't a possiblity that Red Octane's software could be causing issues they wouldn't be looking into it.
Lemmings come up with the worst excuses:lol:LOL! You really need to read a book or something and stop spouting non-sensical comments. Software broke the hardware. Hmm. Sounds like the software was the problem.

This is the first time I've heard a software update can physically damage the hardware (game disks). Would it be surprising to find that a screwy software update makes the X360 overheat? Maybe not, it shouldn't but I guess that is at least possible. What you should have with a software problem is hangups/freezing, system crashes, ect... I think everyone would agree the "ring of death" is nothing new to the X360 hardware but it is surprising that software can trigger it that easily....don't you think? At least admit that much.....I don't remember X360 specs saying it can burn DVD discs so I doubt the "ring of death" is a feature.

and you dont find it alittle odd that this report comes out as soon as the new patch was released? and yes software updates can cause hardware problems. just ask nvidia. there nforce 3 drivers were known for crashing systems. i have GH2 and updated it and i dont have any problems at all. so i cant say it happens with everyone, nore can i blame this on MS. they didnt make the patch.
