A high end PC can play Crysis at 1080p with 30fps, 16xAF, 8xMSAA and tons of other effects that would strain a 360 into submission. Don't even think that claiming that Gears 2 is in some way better than every PC available.

720P is real HD. 1080P been real HD is just marketing hype to get you to fork over the big cash. Most visual media experts will tell you at this point resolution is not the most importan aspect of your picure, it's contrast and colour accuracy. Wether you need 1080P or not depends on how close you sit to your screen and how big it is.
