Lionhead boss Peter Molyneux has predicted that the best is still to come from Xbox 360, as developers learn to take full advantage of the system's hardware

I hope next gen consoles will have a GPU upgrade option or something, because milking can only go so far. I mean if Crytek say they pushed the hardware, it's been pushed to the limits.

That would be the end of SW.... Kinda hard to hate us elitist hermits when you suddenly have to go all upgradey yourself innit? Consoles are already adopting some bad PC traditions (although, installing games and dowloading from steam is quite fast on the PC) without providing any of the benefits.

Console inconvenience is on the rise and PC enthusiasts now considered them inconveniences in the first place ;)

Like Pachter, anything Molyneux says is the opposite of what will happen.

There's another thread showing off the new xbox tech... and it uses lionhead footage. This is where he's coming from, but that doesn't mean other devs will start using it.

i tend to doubt this since it's a 5 year old console.

it will dribble out a few high profile exclusives, continue to be the go to system for multiplats then die and be replaced by the next gen xbox which is fine by me.

He probably peaked at new Crysis 2 360 videos appearing on so he had to say it.If we waited for MS 1st party to deliver we would have to wait 10 more years...

I dont understand why this guy gets air time, he hasn't made a good game in 10 years. Nothing but a self promoting flop he should have left the industry years ago.

once 3ds is out im quite sure console sales will ween off , a bit ,

in japan thats happening as we speak in fact last weeks sales show only ps3 over 14 thousand wii just under 10 k , , the rest well below 6 k besides ds combined and psp and 3ds

This. It will be a sad day when such a creative mind leaves the industry. But hey, at least we'll have the brains behind games like CoD, Battlefield, Medal of Honor, Crysis, Homefront etc to pour such quality innovation into gaming every year.
