Xbox 360 is overrated

For the same reasons the Xbox One sucked, if you have a PC then why bother?

360 had no worthy exclusives outside of Gears, Halo, and Forza for a majority of the gen, and by the end they weren't already played out.

Jump In: If you want to play games at sub HD resolution and sub 30 FPS, yeah...360 is/was hella overrated.

Yep, crap console was crap. Failure rate of 60%, HaloGearsForza milkage, introduced paying for online, microtransaction and timed exclusivity became the norm thanks to it. It actually singlehandedly made gaming worse for everyone by lowering several standards.

What lol. I wasn't big into the exclusives, but it doesn't change how well the console did in general.

1. it played all multiplats better than the ps3...sometimes with timed exclusives

2. it got more games overall than the ps3 up to like 2010....after that ps3 caught up with japanese support.

3. xbox live revolutionized online gaming on consoles.

4. much cheaper than the ps3.

Desktop PC market's CPU innovation has largely stalled and Intel priced their 6 to 12 core CPUs outside the mainstream price points.

AMD's RYZEN might trigger large scale upgrade cycle since their price points are in mainstream segments, but AMD may have problems with supplying these CPUs at large quantities. RYZEN CPUs are made in NY, USA.

No, he's right, it's one of the best consoles ever made. And it definitely is probably in the top three most influential consoles ever. The modern gaming console is built in the Xbox 360's image.

influential sure, but its not all good influence with payed online and dlc bs. The hardware itself was complete garbage as the failure rate of the consoles were way higher than the ps3 and wii. I have 3 360's, 2 of which have the rrod. I dont think it could hold a candle to nes or ps2

You made no argument. You posted a graph.

Influence is ultimately influence. One could argue that the NES or PlayStation's influence was not good, as an example- all consoles brought good and bad with them to the table. Xbox 360 brought more good to the table than bad.

Excellent console prior to the Kinect release. After Kinect was out, their focus on casual shit ruined the system.

360 was legit from it's launch until about 2009, after that it was pretty much worthless save for only a handful of games. Of course, the fact that during it's "legit" period it had huge hardware problems is fairly damning to the system.

Backwards compatibility and "remasters" have also destroyed any point in going back and playing on 360. Of course some of this applies to PS3 as well, as some of its' top games were also remastered or re-released on PS4 or PC. But it feels like the PS3 is holding on to a little more of it's library in comparison. Basically PS3 has been rendered 75% worthless by this gen, 360 is 99% worthless.

I'm not so sure. 360 was the definitive console to play on last gen and had influential online structure, but other than that im not sure it was doing so much that the competition wasnt. Its a good console, but I wouldnt call it the best console ever by a large margin
