I vote for Super Nintendo. Or maybe even the NES. Yay for nostalgia.

I do agree that the 360 has the best controller this generation, traditional or not (I'm old school, so Mr. WiiStick doesn't appeal to me). But since I spend most of my time on the 360 with Xbox Live Arcade anyway, I can't really say it's the best console. Maybe the best home arcade machine?

I have to admit I am loving my 360. Has the best game libary there is. I am still on my first 360 and even if it did break I have 3 year warrenty. I do not have to wait till 2008 for good games.Eltroz

Especially since "ever made" implies every console made ever, in which case I can say "TEH SUPER MARIO BROS IS GOOD!" Playstation, Playstation 2. The Xbox 360 may be the most viable platform this generation for general purpose gaming, but the truth of the matter is the dominion that the Playstation 1 and 2 held over the market in their respective eras basically stamps out the Xbox 360 in the grand scheme of things.

Having a lock on Sony first parties and nearly every third party game in existence is a big asset I think the TC fails to realize. Playstation 1 and 2 had nearly every great game of the last two generations.
