That said, I do have some concerns about the 360's reliability, so I'm going to recommend something I never do: Buy it locally and purchase the in-store warranty, so you can replace it immediately at any time free of charge.

If you absolutely must have the best pure gaming experience, the PS3 should ultimately win out, especially when developers begin to figure out how to unlock the console's most impressive capabilities. A year from now, I expect PS3 games to absolutely blow away anything available on the 360.

As for the Wii, I'm going to have to disagree with the consensus and call it as I see it: Unless you have very young kids with no video game experience at all, skip out on this console. The Wii is a joke, a novelty console that doesn't offer much staying power. Either the 360 or PS3 would be a better choice for almost anyone

Unless you have young kids who have no gaming experience, you might just want to skip out on Manhunt 2.

Hey I'm just saying.

This seems to be one man's opinion, pretty lame to base the whole console wars on the weight of one individual.

What about when the PS3 and the X360 get online titles that the Wii doesn't?

Anyone that calls a console thats outselling every other console continuously and loved by nearly everyone who's bought one a joke,  has absolutely no credibility (for a non-biased opinion) as far as i'm concerned.

Wow - a Windows tech/fansite that doesn't like the Wii and prefers the 360. Golly gosh, this guy sure does have his finger on the pulse of the videogame industry...  :|

That's some pretty heavy praise coming from a Windows fansite.

I'm guessing Wii fans don't care for his opinion though.

That "article" was ridiculous. As of now, I can't see any difference in power between the 360 and PS3, and does he really think only PS3 games will look better in the future? Plus it's nice to know that he's been into the future and played all of the Wii games to be able to tell us how useless it is.

As far as I'm concerned, the guy is pretty biased and is also rather ignorant. I guess in his opinion, No More Heroes, Battalion Wars 2, Manhunt 2, SSBB, MP3, SPM, and Mario Galaxy are all "novelty" games.

PS3 for pure gaming?  With its lack of standout games, it's mostly a blu-ray player.  Then you have Home coming soon.

Pure gaming?  I wouldn't go that far.  If anything, the Wii is more for pure gaming.
