Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 i dont know :(

I dont know what kind of comments im gona get but. Im trying to deside weather to get a ps3 or 360 for Christmas. I could care less about the blue ray player on ps3. the only reason im leaning towrds the ps3 is becouse all my friends have gotin the red rings of death on 360 some have gotin it fixed some havnt. and I dont really whant to have to worry about that. Right know it also tryin do deside bc of system exslusive games. Ps3 MGS4 a series that iv grown to love and it looks really great lol. Then 360 Mass Effect 1 and probly 2 if i get and like it. so i really dont witch way to go. some help would be apreceated. 360 r ps3

I was in your shoes recently, Go with the PS3 dude. It's line up is beyond solid, LEMMINGS can agree to that by now. Aside all the great exclusives we have now, a lot of really good multi plats are coming out let's not forget, (Assasins Creed 2, Bioshock 2, etc)

PS3. After the price cut it's the most obvious thing.

It depends the lineup you prefer. 360 has the better one in my personal opinion.

get a ps3.. thats what im doing for my bday in a couple of weeks, just for the fact that it is a really good value for your money and has really good games on it, not better than the 360 in the eyes of many people, but it is coming out with a lot of really good exclusives, and no red ring of death due to the awesome new turbo fan on the ps3 slim

It's all about the games, only you can choose. Both systems are pretty similar though.

Xbox 360 has a better library of games at the moment.

PS3 has tons of games coming out in the next year or so.

It doesn't really matter which one you get, they are pretty equal. I would get a 360 in your case though since you said most of your friends have 360s.

Well this deal might be the best I know it's an older model but for $299 you get Uncharted and and extra 40GB plus I think it looks nicer.

Honestly this becomes a fanboy tug of war. I'd say look at the pro's and con's of each system and decide. Aslo games. Look at the games you want, thats a very important

if u liked xbox360 exclusives more than ps3 exclusives but ur friends had a ps3 and not an xbox360 which system would u buy?

cause i think its more important which exclusives u like than which system ur friends have

If you own a pc then getting a ps3 is your best bet hands down. If you don't have a pc,(although everyone i've ever talked to does) then xbox might be a good choice. although i'd still get a ps3 cuz more of my friends have ps3s

Yeah and "if you dont need blue ray" is a better argument, I suppose. let's be real, both consules have more than a few years on their belt, its time to sit down with ourselves and decide which would be a better "economical fit" for us now and the long run. Enough with this "if you dont need blueray" giberish. It's a gaming consule first before anything else, so let's focus on that. And yes, the PS3's library has gotten stronger and 3rd party developers have learned how to work with the PS3 now more than years back. Let's be real.

i could be wrong but in my opinion now that the ps3 is $299 by far its a better value than the xbox360

it has built in wi fi and free online on that alone its a better deal

xbox live maybe cheap but the yearly price will add up after 4+ years of having it

iwould have kept xbox live since xbox360 launch then that means i paid more for the xbox360 than even a $600 launch ps3 lol

The only thing 360 has going for it right now is LIVE and Multiplat support. PS3 has a better value with way more features built into the console (especially Blu-Ray), and a better library of exclusive titles.

However, to answer your question, it depends on what games you like more. The 360 has a very solid library of games for everyone. The PS3 is starting to get a solid library, I just wish it had more variety. In the end, it all up to what you want to play.

If you want the best games PS3. If you want the best hardware it's obvious PS3. If you want to pay ridiculous prices for anything extra you might want or need 360. Before Sony released the Slim it was a toss up depending on your needs, but now with the $299 PS3 I see no reason to even consider 360.EmperorSupreme
