you have good concerns man I wont flame i am sure will be flamed though. the RRoD is a good problem i never had it though and now MS just released 3 new skus this weekend to replace the old skus not sure if they will take care of the problem but they have more heat sinks a smaller cpu and such so time will tell on that. My personal problem with wii right now is the system is full of shovelware for every game like Zelda you have 5 crap shovelware games but the virtual console is good if your into retro gaming (main reason i want it.) MS has great games out and XBLA is truely some great
If you want to take a chance go MS they do have a 3 year warranty that from what i heard isn't too bad most people get their systems back in 2 weeks or so.
If you want to play it safe go wii they're building a good library but just be careful what games you get most are rip offs and yes 360 has some too but not as many as wii. its shameless how many the wii has
I had a Wii and 360 and I sold my 360, I play my Wii alot more. I love Virtual Console, I never owned a Gamecube so I get to pick all those games up very cheaply, and I love some of the original Wii games like Zelda: Twilight Princess, Trauma Center, Metroid Prime 3, RE 4: Wii Edition, Godfather: Blackhand Edition, and Zack & Wiki. Best of all the easily accessible games like Wii Sports, Wii Play, and Rayman: Raving Rabbids has gotten my wife and family all into gamily. I really love the little machine, I haven't been this passionate about gaming since the first playstation.Zerostatic0i agree i dont even touch my 360 these days. if your a retro gamer vc alone is reason to get wii. plus wii is getting some great games . and wii gets its own games ps3 and 360 share most of there games. if you got a nice pc dont even bother getting 360

How so? Please elaborate. I agree that PC will get some of the best 360 games rather at launch or a few years down the line But I doubt PC will get all of them (or even the majority of them.) Wii versions of 360 and ps3 games are watered down ports with some control differences, also i cannot even think of a wii version of a multiport was even made by the same dev team that makes the game for 360/ps3. that is like telling him to just stay with a ps2 because some multiports also come out for ps2. If he gets a Wii he needs to be aware that the wii is on its own with games which isn't bad but he won't play games like mass effect, GTA 4, R&C, Oblivion, etc he will get ports of sports games, extreme sports games, platforming games and maybe some bigger FPS like Medal of Honor. anyway now back to my main question about you quote. Please elborate. what you mean?
I'm wondering which one to get out of the two. The 360 has tons of games I want to play but the RROD are stopping me from getting it, I just don't want to deal with sending it back its going to be a huge hassle. The Wii is cheap and it does have some games that I am interested in, but I ask myself is it really worth it? Thanks! rocket9434
The RROD isn't a legit fear for me anymore. If you keep the 360 in an open area and don't shake it around too much, then you have absolutely nothing to worry about with the Xbox 360.
Oh yeah, and you get amazing games! Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect... then into '08 the list just grows and grows - by the way make sure you check out Gears and Forza Motorsport 2! Those are two amazing games you just can't forget about right there! Don't forget Oblivion GOTY edition - I'm able to say that I've played Oblvion 300+ hours; the game just keeps on giving. Can't foget PGR4 and Bioshock... damn that's a big list I just mentioned...
Compare that to what, Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda Twilight Princessand Metroid 3? You make the descision.

Get a 360. Buy a warranty with your system. If you are going to invest in something over $200 dollars you might as well make sure you put down some insurance on it, that goes for anything, not just game systems. If your system RROD, return it to the store in exchange. The Xbox 360s that had the RROD plague are currently being replaced at retails anyways.
Look for the the Xbox 360 Arcade, Xbox 360 Premium with 2 game bundle, or the Xbox 360 Elite, they are the newer 360 systems that are suppose to have those problems resolved. So that ought to lessen your worry.
Deppends on what you want from your console. If online is important to you then go for the 360, but of you want something a bit unique and a bit unusual go for the wii.
I own both and honestly I play the wii more - mainly because I am internetless at the moment. When I get the internet I will probably play 360 more for a while, and then gradualy they should equal out.

I actually agree with deadmeat59. I sold my 360 and I plan to replace it with my PC (I need to replace my Graphics card though). With the Wii & a pc with a high-end graphics card you get the best of both world. Not to mention that I have a DS & a PSP. I really feel that after upgrading my graphics card, I really don't need any more hardware. I'll probably get a PS3 in a year or two but mostly because of the Blu-Ray player. Please Log In to post.
