$400/$600 is "cheap"? I agree that MS are much worse but I still wouldn't say Sony truly care about their customers.
I thought it was a dev who worked on the game Prototype switching over to the ps3 to help the development when I read the title.ovechkin08

Can anyone say fake? Yawn... wake me up when you actually try to make a false piece of journalism. That said believe it or not all companies do care about their consumers end experience with their product. They just don't care if your dog died.Konxumeragreed ;) ol i guess this is how an angry cow(NOT ALL, so dont even..) makes up for "something else" going over to another camp...with people :P silly

Isn't it so nice for Sony to supply you HD cables for their HD system... oh wait, they didn't. :|He makes a very good point.

Are you serious?! Please do not tell me you actually believe this. No company cares for their customers, they only care about your wallet. Not paying for exclusives? High launch price? Forcing Blu-Ray down people throats? This is cow denial at it's best.
Really? Giving gamers achievments and superior online from the getgo, a new user inteface, exclusive games (they paid for) downloadable content... no what the guy means is that microsoft totally give sthe customers what they ask for. Sony lies, cheats, promises, and delays... so tell me now, how can you say they care about their customers? He makes a very good point.

It is when you look at the cost of production. It cost more to make a PS3 than what Sony is selling it for. What parts of that is hard for you to understand? It is when you look at the cost of production. It cost more to make a PS3 than what Sony is selling it for. What parts of that is hard for you to understand?BubblehashIs Sony still selling at a loss on each unit - production costs greatly reduce over time - so I highly doubt Sony would still be losing money on each PS3 sold; if they are, that really tells you how they truly messed up like no other when developing the technology for the PS3.
The Xbox 360 hardware design is so inferior to the PS3 it's not even funny. Switching between the two, I almost get annoyed at using my Xbox.. so loud, so clunky, even down to the crappy buttons you use to power it on and the stupid disc tray.
I find it interesting how this guy mentioned that Microsoft was making a profit off their 360's from the get-go. Microsoft's been saying that for the first year or two they were taking a hit on each console sold...
You must be really blind if you think they put you first over their profit. Without hype, without PR, without YOUR money, they don't care for you as an individual. They only care about the number you represent to them nothing else.He makes a very good point.

You do realize that anyone can make a review of a product and post it on that site. That article is written by a regular fan boy. Anyone can post a review on that site about a product. If they kept a stat tracker for every stupid post in System Wars....sigh..

You can twist it how ever you wish and say it was a mess up, I really don't care. Again, they care more about their costumers. I am sorry that is so hard for you to swallow.
The Article may be genuine but it certainly seems fake.
Anyway, I'm really tired about people complaining about the PS3 being so much more expensive then the 360. At launch the PS# was $600 which seems high in comparison to the $400 launch price of the 360, but once you add the $100 Wi-Fi adapter, $30 Play and Charge Kit, and $50 XBox live subscription there about equal.
In essence it comes down to value, and up until recently the PS3 didn't have the games to compete with the 360.
Further more anyone who thinks that either Sony or Microsoft care about there customers is kidding themselves. Both companies only care about the money. That's why Microsoft Charges for XBox Live, and the only reason Sony was selling there console at a loss was because they had no choice. They took a gamble that selling the Console for less then its development cost would be beneficial in the long run and as of yet that hasn't paid off.

I would say that because their research team made quite the mistake while developing the technology for the PS3 without gaming in mind, Sony is paying for it right now. The games show that - the PS3 is not a developer friendly console, and the sales show that as well. Not to mention Sony couldn't even do a world-wide launch with the PS3 because of it's technology. I guess if they really cared about you, and I - they would have given us the HD cables necessary for watching Blu-Ray movies in high definition or for playing Resistance in HD. After all, they go about touting their console as the supreme HD option - "Next Generation doesn't start till we say it does" ect. and yet, what's that Sony? No High-Definition cables?
Believe me kiddo, Sony does not care about you or me. They never did, and they never will.

Not only that but doesn anyone remember back when the PS2 had all those problems what Sony did to fix it??? Nope I don't remember either because Sony did NOTHING to fix any of it's multitude of problems. All they did was tell you to send it in and pay for the repairs. Yep Sony really cares for it's customers.
Watching DVDs on your PS2 basically shortened its lifespan; not to mention it was plagued with desk-reading problems, the first production line models especially. Some people took Sony to court with a Class-Action lawsuit over all this, Sony later agreed to settle the lawsuit and then fix PS2s free of charge, a problem in which they knowingly shipped their console with. I had to pay 100 bucks to fix my PS2 back in 2001. Here's a link to the settlement.+1
