A whole lot of the systems the 360 sells month to month is just people re-buying the system because it broke on them, real talk, more than 33% of them fail compared to 1% of the ps3'syobanitvar
you do realize that Microsoft replaces people Xbox360s for free right and that you dont have to rebuy them?
and do you also realize that 360s failure rate is at 8%, not 33 dude.

there was an article on this site, about how the failure rate might even be at close to 50% and i dont doubt it, because some people go thru 5 or 6 consoles, its just the truth, and the warranty is not 3 yrs anymore, its at 1 year, how much peoples warranty ran out? a whole bunch[QUOTE="yobanitvar"]A whole lot of the systems the 360 sells month to month is just people re-buying the system because it broke on them, real talk, more than 33% of them fail compared to 1% of the ps3'sfourseamer4And a whole lot of the 150+million PS2 sold were people re-buying because of DRE. That's only on places where there is support. I live in Costa Rica and you can't do that here. Yeah, even if your exactly right, what did M$ learn from all this.
To take TIME and make better hardware next gen OR to release first no matter what?
We can see what was the successful route.

so are you going to post the link to that "article" or not?
Fizzman
cmon dude everyone has read "that article" he doesnt need a link.
ah you have a good point, it was a great "article" to full of glorious facts about the 360.
remember MS never officially announced they extended the warranty, you just sort of have to know. I know a few people who didn't know they could their xbox's replaced for free and bought new ones. Given its probably not as much as the OP is asserting though. I have heard of the failure rates being higher than laptops which is 20%.
http://gizmodo.com/271487/xbox-360-failure-rate-30-says-retailers this says 30%
http://www.gamedaily.com/articles/news/report-xbox-360-failure-rate-was-as-high-as-68/?biz=1 this says the initial batch was as high as 68%
Actually a quick google of Xbox 360 Failure Rate will yield pretty uniform results that its initial failure rate was 68%, which was improved to 30% by 2007, and as of 2008 is between 20%-10%, but how reliable are this figures? judge for yourself. But its obvious the Xbox failure rate is still well above the Wii and PS3 which seems to be between 1% to 3%, except for one site that said 55% for Wii, then sent me to youtube to be rickrolled.

Cause middle east and some countries in Asia is under pal region and pal region sux they take over 1 year to bring games do you need a better reason than that.

Link? Because of the people I know who bought a 360, 100% of them got RROD.

Funny my PS2 still alive since 2000 till now and i bought 5 360s from 2005 till now PS2 failure rate was 5% at max while some retailers said 360 failure rate was up to 60% at launch.

I really doubt you actually bought 5 new 360's. Especially when they can get repaired for free.all i will say is i have gone through 5 xboxes. 3 pro consoles and 2 elites. and everytime they broke MS fixed it for free. and i got a 3month gold membership card for my troubles. Personally i think the failure rate is REDICULOUS, however in the town i live i have 4 friends with ps3. ALL of them have had to get repairs.. except do you know what the difference is? they had to pay. YLOD and Disc drive/read failures. Each one costs in excess of 100$ to fix. and while the failure rate is MUCH LOWER on the ps3, the fact is you are not covered.
At least MS has made it so when you get your "refurbished" console back from them, it resets the warranty to 3 years for rrod and e74. so I can't say that they haven't done right, the only problem is that there is STILL RRoD happening. its pathetic.
oh and about the wii failure rate: im sure more wiis would break if people actually used them much, i have had mine for 4 months and can count on 2 hands the amount of hours i have spent.. and i haven't even purchased a game, only virtual console titles

PS3 fanboy says, absolutly nothing ever proven. Sorry, but the xbox straight up outsold the PS3. Deal with it.
i am definetely correct, but whatever, how do you spell difinetely?yobanitvar
... fail troll is fail?
First off no one makes anyone buy another 360 and anyone who has bought multiple consoles only to have them continue to fail on them well let's just say they have more money than sense. I have two 360's and I've had one to fail due to the disc drive in a two year period but no RROD but if it happens well that's what I have a warranty for. Oh and TC you throw around alot of numbers yet never seem to back any of it up with evidence, you know a little something called facts now that's "real talk" .

Oh, come on...Everyone can see that's not true. No one is stupid enough to run out and buy 5 360's if they keep on breaking. Don't you have anything better to do?stop being in denial, im on my second 360, my first ps3 from launch, but WHATEVER, those who try to insult are not comfortable that they are getting sh---ed onyobanitvar
I'm on my 6th 360, but do you see me complaining? It's the best console this gen, that's why I put up with it. Same thing I did with the Ps2 last gen.
Sure, the 360 has crappy hardware. I take care of all of my eletronics. More so than most people. But, for some reason I have been cursed with DVD drive problems...I'm not going to whine about it.
Now if I have problems, I get it back within a week of sending it in, and I usually get something for my problems, be it a game, or free wireless controller.
