it seems that lemmings swallowed the nonfunctional mythical NATAL project and now they are glorifying it as the best.(sad) the truth is, that the only good thing that natal brings is real longevity to a console that many thought was ageing fast. thats why many gamespoters think MS won E3. sony had a better presentation(games coming) but MS presentation's impact on the 360 was bigger.(certain longer life). (p.s: i think theyve officialy said now the the 360 will have a 10 years lifespam)

I really don't see how the most popular console among the demographic that matters is "dead" but whatever.

Same time as the PS3, Wii and PC. Whenever fanboys wanted to make a hyperbolic splash.

I don't understand why fanboy look at the success of a console through its library. That aspect is based on sales only~

I didn't get the memo that it had died.

Anyways, I don't think this whole new barrage of motion controls is anything to be excited about. I mean, a months ago, almost everyone on system wars hated on the wii for "teh waggle" and now that something comes out similar to the motion controls, all of the sudden its the coolest thing ever. I'm not excited for Wii Motion Plus, Project Natal, or Sony's new idea for motion control for that matter. It should be exactly what everyone bashed it for a few months ago, a gimmick.

It almost pisses me off as much as thing with their touch screen. All of the sudden, everything is innovative because it happens to have a touch screen. There are many flaws with a touch screen, and there will be many flaws with the new motion controls.

And before anyone quotes me, I KNOW that project natal is only the use of a camera, and no controller. I don't want anyone hating on me. After the dissappointment of the eyetoy, motion control and cameras that track your movement are currently going to be taken with a grain of salt in my excitement.

Blue-Sky

See, I base it on many things.

  • Looks
  • Ease of use (turning it on, and getting it do do stuff like operate games)
  • Practicality
  • Price
  • Additional features (like internet browsers, music players, dvd readers, you know, the works)
  • Add-ons (like motion control, rumble, the works)
  • Overall fun
  • Game quality (completely not based on the score, but how much I enjoy it)
  • Game variety ( I also want it to please my company)

Along with many other things. I have very hard criteria.

Everything has to die eventually, but I don't think natal was ever meant to save the life of Xbox.

I geniuinely think that they just wanted a new add-on to compete with the Wii.

No, you're wrong! Its sales only.

If I release a POS in a cardboard box and have ridiculous sales, guess what, its successful.
Now if you want to measure quality, then all that stuff you said comes into play. But thats a more personal, opinionated measure. "success" is more logical.

I can't argue with that, Congratulations...

Honestly that camera system thing was one of the most interesting things I have seen in gaming. I own a PS3 and Wii so I am not being biased or w.e. I would really get that add on if it didn't cost the amount that tech will cost when it launches.
