I was just at my local EB Games and with no surprise their display Xbox 360 unit had the extraordinarily common "ring of death". Why buy something that is guaranteed to break down? I mean, you can only polish a turd so much. Would you buy feces for a dollar? Of course not.Hmm ever think that it is on all day?

I'm taking the BROWNS to the Super Bowl tonight!!
My future shop has 3 Xbox 360's and a PS3 on display. All of them are finished including the PS3.
At my EB games they have an Xbox 360, a PS3 and a Wii. The 360 and PS3 both are dead while only the Wii lives. Definatly because of the heat that can't escape the plastic shells covering the consoles while the Wii runs cool because it isnt powerful.Â
About 2 million PS2s got recalled when it first came out which is why the US launch had so few units back in 2000. I don't believe the 360 has even got close to that. eastside49er
I thought they just recalled the utility discs? I didn't know they actually recalled the hardware. Can you post a link?
Technically.. old consoles have the highest breaking rate.. how many of the N64s still work perfectly? loluser_natProbally most of them. Say what you want about Nintendo but their consoles are always good quality.

Or if it was one of those White Dragon turds from Lunar: Silver Star Story. That sucker craps diamonds!
Actually, the PS2 probably was.
EDIT: BTW, if its a ring, that means the video cable isn't plugged in.

in the gaming world, probably, but I don't know, the NES was bad too.
Then again, the PS2 is 7+ years old, the 360 just came out, so comparing it now isn't far, but we shall see.
