Xbox 360= - The worst console ive ever owned.

well my xbox 360 broke FOR NO FING REASON!!!! i was playing guitar hero 2 for about 30 min and it wouldnt save anything. I restart the console and i get 3 red lights. Then i get system failures. My 360 is 5 months old and i didn;t play it for 4 months cuz i got bored of it. It destroyed my Oblivion disk which i somehow returned. I might not even buy halo 3 if things like this happen.

Probably overheated some of it's components. Life sucks, but then again my did some what the same thing and I got a new one for free so i didn't care.

I got red lights because my HDD wasn't in all the way, clicked it in and TA-DA!

I'm sure it's fine.

But honestly, I don't think anyone here really cares.

Now that I think about it, neither do I.

Well I had an extended warranty, but I thought nowadays MS themselves extended their own out of the box warranty to a full year. If that's the case you'll need your receipt and the box/manuals it came with.

3 Options:

1) Get it fixed. Get a warranty.

2) Get a PS3.

3) Get a Wii.

Whining about it won't help you. And you're proving nothing new: I'm pretty sure everyone knows the hardware is unreliable.

anyways i would rather have x360 than wii and ps3. i hate the wii because it's boring and ive played ps3 and i never want to.

The 360 is a damn fine gaming machine...but it's hardware is garbage. And that's why I won't get one. I want a system to live atleast 5 years...360s arn't making it more than a few months. Even the PS2 wasn't this bad when it launched. The 360 breaking problem is so widespread that I'm certain that atleast 60% of the 360s break within their first year.OceanLeet

Actually the stats are that 3-5% of consoles are returned due to hardware problems.

yeah leave it on and wrap it in 2-4 towels leave it running for 20-30 mins like the turn it off for awhile and turn it back on and it will work anywhere from a few hours to a few months, what it does is temperaroly re soders it

With all the rumors flying out there, gamers are going to equate the slightest oddity in noise to impending failure.

I know I always wince when I hear a sound that's slightly different than what I'm used to hearing coming from my Xbox360.

Of course, with an extended warranty, you can breathe much easier. :D
