Your link doesn't go to a story? Anyway, if it's the website I think they're referencing, the same site has the N-gage at 9.5/10 (only 2 users voted, though). But, still, useless.

in order for that vote to be accurate, everyone who voted would have to own and play every games console. since that almost definatly isn't the case, its obvious that 360 would win because more people own 360 than any other console.

Completely irrelevant. Something you might not now, since you need to take some statistics and trending cla sses:
If you wanted to know the general consensus of 5,500,000 people (which sounds like a large number for online console gamers), with 95% confidence level and 5% acceptable margin of error, you'd need to poll only 400 of those gamers randomly to get a rather good idea. If you were to bump that confidence to 99% (since 100% would mean polling everyone), you'd get a necessary sample size of 670 people.

Actually, with 99%/4%, you wouldn't need over 700 people no matter what your population size.

This is how exit polls in elections are calculated: Obviously they don't ask every single voting person out there, and the results are usually somewhat decent.

Ok I'll dispute you. There. It's disputed. 360 is easily the best console I've ever owned. Not saying my sentiments are popular, just saying it's not so open and shut as you want it to be. Opinions vary.
