Xbox 360 Vs PS3 Better Graphics

Which one has the better graphics out of them both.

IMO, Gears2, KZ2 and RE5 are the best looking games on consoles. Only a fanboy would claim one of those games is head-n-shoulders above the rest :)

Right now i'd give PS3 a little edge over the Xbox. But imo RE5 and GeoW2 are close behind KZ2, the difference is minimal at best.

Currently Killzone 2 has the best graphics.Than Multiplats are usually better on the 360.The earlier exclusives of PS3 like Uncharted,Heavenly Sword and MGS4 also have the best graphics.

So if you go for the best graphics,its PS3.

The PS3 and the 360 are still about equal in graphics. Yes Killzone 2 is the most polished game out at the moment but i see the 360 taking the graphics lead back this year or at least making it close.

Forget about graphics. Great gameplay is far more important to a games but people hardly argue over this which is sad.

I'd have to agree the player models in uncharted and mgs4 are amazing and the environments in uncharted are superb. To think Gears is so much better then mgs4 and Uncharted is fanboyism at best. Also the reason I prefer those 2 titles to Gears in terms of graphics is because both the other developers are using custom made engines for their titles and they look beautiful. Most U3 engine based games look very similar with a few exceptions.

Doesn't matter. Thread is about Xbox 360 vs Ps3. Ps3 doesn't have the game therefore its an exclusive. Also it was Console exclusive for quite some time as well.

As i saied in my first post, 360 has the multiplats and considering that (in my opinion) the only exclusive that looks better than Gears2 is Killzone2, PS3 wins the exclusive part. IMO 360 wins not because of the exclusive(s), but because 95% of the games this gen are multiplats and these ones look better on the 360, got it?

Agreed 100%. I'd give a slight edge to KZ2 over Gears2, but I think RE5 is easily on par with KZ2, if not slightly ahead.

Either way, both consoles have amazing looking games. Only a fanboy would say otherwise.

And i played Uncharted and MGS4. They are great games but their graphics are a bit overrated.

To be fair though, the graphic style and presentation of gears of war 2 for me and for about most gamers i know who owns both systems and plays gow2, mgs4, and even kz2, find that gow2 is more appealing and the arguably the best of the 3. Let it be known that this is just based on me and my friend's preference to avoid any arguments. However, i and my friend's also believe that when it comes to the best graphics, the PS3 is most probably the better of the two systems. If say, GOW2 was specifically designed only for the ps3, it would most likely look better than the 360 version or if say mgs4 was designed specifically for the 360, it would most likely look not as stellar. Multiplat though, there is no argument that the 360 wins either just barely or by a mile. But, that's just because it 's no secret that it's easier and cheaper to make games for the 360. Take a look at fight night round3, the ps3 has better graphics than the 360 version because they had no time costraints with the ps3. (",)

Anyone that knows about game development should realize that you should never use multiplatforms to compare which console gives the superior graphics.

You always use exculsives because those games are being specificaclly developed for the specific console. Multiplatforms are normally developed mainly on one console, and then ported to the other. Hence, one will always look better. That is why multiplatforms tend to look better (in most cases) on the 360, because developers use that as their base platform. Actually they use the PC as their base platform, but the 360 archietecture is so similar to the PC, that the 360 tends to look better.

However if there is a game being specifically developed (i.e Killzone 2), I think the PS3 is capable of delivering the better graphics, with it's superior hardware.

Also people that are saying Gears 2 looks better than KZ2 or is even on it's level, need to have their memory refreshed. Here is comparison video of the two games, and you can see from the textures, character models, and especially the lighting, KZ2 is superior.
