Xbox 360 vs PS3? Which one should I get?

Ok, I'm wanting to get either a 360 or a PS3. Which one would you reccomend? 360 has Halo and Gears of War, but PS3 has Metal Gear Solid and God of War...I can't choose :cry: I want to see which one you guys reccomend

Which library do you prefer? I can't recommend much without knowing something about your tastes.

Look at each of the exclusives and multiplats that aren't available on the other and see which you prefer.

There is no way to recommend something without knowing more like do you plan on playing games online? Would you like a blue ray player? What other games do you have an interest in? What games are you MOST interested in? Do you have a preference with the controllers?

It all depends on taste in games, in mean time i'd advise you get a ps3.....

There's no shortage of great shooters/combat games on and coming to PS3 ...... but you're just not going to get exclusive epics like MGS4 , God of War III , and The Last Guardian on the 360.

The consoles have been out long enough for one to decide on what to get.

You should get what you like instead of what some anonymous dude tells you to get based on THEIR preferences.

Out of the 2 systems there are way more than 2 games apiece that you might like. Do some research, being lazy about it is only going to cause you grief.

Its hard to say, check out the PS3's exclusives and the 360's exclusives, and the multi-plats that are only available on one of the two. Unless you have a gaming PC I'd go 360 though.

My thoughts exactly!

You need to do some hands on research of both consoles before making the final purchasing decision. Posting on System Wars is the worst place to get any legitimate feedback.

You should judge them on Exclusives, however keep in mind 360 does get the better version of multiplatform stuff most times, and with more and more games going multipaltform, that might be a important thing.

It's like asking someone which is better Steak or Chicken? How can you give an honest answer if you've only had one of them?

It's far better to give pros and cons and let the person decide themselves. Not saying you don't own a 360 but come on, the PS3 is in no way 100 percent better. It's a fine system, I personally think it's a better system with better exclusives, but it has it's own set of issues.

The PS3 has better hardware, I don't think I need to say much more I'm pretty sure even 360 fans accept this, it's built amazingly well, silent, upgradeable hard drives, wifi, blu ray, free online etc...

It's a one time buy, it doesn't come with tons of hidden fee's and is HUGE bang for your money, it's great value, accessories are free in terms of not forcing you to buy expensive proprietary Sony stuff, so there are a lot of competition and cheap prices, be it for headsets, controllers, hard drives etc.

It gets all the multiplats that consist of like 90% of each consoles library.

And you get games like.

Metal Gear Solid: Guns of the Patriots

God of War III

MLB 10: The Show

God of War Collection

Killzone 2

Demon's Souls

Racthet & Clank Future

If you can make a list that looks better then this with 360 games in your opinion get that. I simply think you won't find anywhere near enough quality games. At least for my taste.

well if you want to play online xboxlive is good but its going to cost you what? 60$ im not sure might still be 50$ but thats enough for you to buy another exclusive for ps3

Add MW2 to that list :P Oh by the way, my cousin has a PS3 and my friend has a 360, but I coulkdn't choose between one or the other. I liked Halo 3 on 360, but I liked Motorstorm: Pacific Rim.
