I am surprised that the focus is on the PC version so far as opposed to the 360 version beating out the PS3 version despite the latter being the superior version.

the ps3 can never have the superior version of any multiplayer title because of psn.and i'm not talking about the recient psn problems but just in general.
i have avoided a pile of games that have extra content lately on ps3 lately just to not have to have anything to do with psn.
Well seeing as you said your comment has nothing to do with the current outage, which shouldn't last much longer, please elaborate on your statement. How exactly does PSN make a multiplayer experience a negative thing? And why do you not want "anything to do with PSN?" PSN does not have as many features as XBOX live, but as far as online multiplayer gameplay, it's no different. Sounds like the typical ramblings of a lemming.psn has no standards.don't want to put in friends list support for invites? no problem don't do it.
don't want to put in chat support? once again no problem just leave it out.
don't want to put in a demo for your arcade type title? that's fine.
trueskill matchmaking, community made games, better arcade titles, windows live and windows phone integration, better dl speeds, universal achievement system
all in all xbl leaves psn in the dust.
a typical gaming session for me goes something like me getting on to play something.
beginning to play whatever game i am playing, a friend messaging me to play something like rdr zombie hoarde then me messaging some more friends to fill out the party.
then doing a full party invite to the rdr zombie session. playing it for a bit while figuring out what else everyone has and feels like playing switching to another game and transporting the entire party into the new game ect, ect ect...
there is nothing even close to that kind of thing on psn.
i like my ps3 and have had a blast with it and psn has come leaps and bounds the last few years but come-on if you are being honest and you use both online systems on a regular basis you know psn does not even come close to gaming on xbl.
the only way psn is competitive is if you fire up your ps3 and jump into a random game and play with strangers or if you find specific games that support the psn friends list. in that way psn keeps up.
for the people that are happy with that then that is great but it's just not enough for me after being on xbl for a few years.
