Xbox 360's first 10 game!

You know what? I agree! In fact, you should get your hopes as high as humanly possible for Gears 3 to get a 10. I mean, you should get fireworks ready as well as buy one hell of an expensive bottle of champaigne to pop open when the good news hits. COME ON! Let's really go to the mountaintop in anticipation of this historic moment! I swear, you will not regret it. :)

9.5 at best. Shooters at the moment don't have that special something to get a 10 with the shooter-saturated market and I don't see Gears 3 being the exception. Can't really explain it but yeah. SMG2 was very deserving of a perfect 10, gameplay was perfect. MGS4 is...I dunno a surprise to me considering it got so boring for me after watching cutscenes every other minute.

From what I have seen and played of gears 3 it does improve upon gears 2. I honestly dont believe that any game has warranted a 10 this generation and I think that better games have been released than those that have scored 10's. Gears 3 has improved upon the Mutliplayer from the beta, has improved the graphics, added 4 player co-op, beast mode and made changes to the horde mode. I cant comment on the story obviously but if it improves on the last games then this game will probably score a 9.5.

I dont believe Gamespots scores are biased, merely inconsistant at times and sometimes that may be down to different reviewers. I like Edge magazines reviews as they use the full 10 scale, an average game gets a 5 not a 7 like on some site or magazines.

can i borrow your crystal ball champ, mp's good but we've had no hands on with its story.Its nothing extremely amazing its AAA on lock there probably wont be another AAAA this gen as gamespot's scoring has become a tad more rigid the past year so it really needs to do something over the top amazing to get the 10 which i doubt.

Team Ico's games have always tended to be AA on here if im not mistaken.

I haven't personally played it as I'm waiting on my LE copy to arrive in the post. But that's not to say everyone who played the leaked copy is a raving lunatic and shouldn't be trusted or believed.

Sure, I'll take it with a pinch of salt anyway but as long as they're not saying it's terrible or merely average, I'm happy.

OT though, it won't be a 10 here. It will be in my eyes however.
