Seems like they are pushing it to the limit. Can't wait for this game to come out. Hopefully they won't overheat the systems after release.

Well, these things happen. It wouldn't be the first tradeshow for this too happen.
This won't affect gamers opinion though, the has great games, and while it may suffer from RROD/E74/Disc Scratching, it still sells just fine due to the good warranty. :)
ME2 should be fun, it's crazy that EA owns the IP now.
LOL. I had a feeling a post like that was coming xDBuh BU the Jasperz!
MS + gamescon = FAIL

LOL. I had a feeling a post like that was coming xD Just had to do it. This is SW after all.I did love to know how this guy came with the conclusion that is overheating because the console is ''being pushed to its limits'' overheating can be caused by many factors you know,no enough room to flow the hot air inside the console and small places like the xbox 360 kiosk's,My Radeon HD 4870x2 was overheating when playing Half Life 2...but it doesn't overheat when i play crysis.. My 4870X2 can't handle Half Life 2 .L33tbanneadorJust because I said "pushed to its limits" doesn't mean that the coding is perfect, in fact, its probably not optimized.. causing it to work really hard. Not to mention its already in a case... sooo. yeah.
Does anyone else get the image of the Mass Effect Game over screen, but with a 360 instead (With the awesome death music of course.)or am I just wierd?

Thats retarded, basically any non XBLA game uses at least the GPU 100%, if not the CPU depending on how well it is multithreaded. I'm guessing the overheating issues came from bad ventilation in the kiosks and the hot, crowded, convention hall. ME2 was also probably getting more playtime then the average demo.
Bit down the page but it doesnt say anything about ME2 causing it because its "pushing it to the limit".did anyone actually click the link? because it doesnt say anything about overheating.....

What is the cause of all these 360 failures?
Did they overclock the bejeesus out of the CPU or something?
Mostly the GPU overheating from inadequate cooling. What is the cause of all these 360 failures?

Ouch. You'd think that they would have noticed that in R&D, and thereby opted for a more efficient cooling fan and/or heat sink.

Aparently the schedule was so tight they never had time for long term stress testing before it was already well into manufacturing. Along with a bad cooling design there where a bunch of other problems in early models such as bad soldering that cracked under high heat conditions. Theats where the infamous "towel trick" comes into play, you overheat the console so much that the solder melts and reforms. Later models added stuff like heat pipes and additional heatsinks and new solder and epoxy to hold the GPU in place. They didnt really fix it untill the shrank the GPU with the Jasper models.[QUOTE="L33tbanneador"]I did love to know how this guy came with the conclusion that is overheating because the console is ''being pushed to its limits'' overheating can be caused by many factors you know,no enough room to flow the hot air inside the console and small places like the xbox 360 kiosk's,My Radeon HD 4870x2 was overheating when playing Half Life 2...but it doesn't overheat when i play crysis.. Here's another link with the same story lol.

Dont listen to these idiots. All devs tune their games to use as much CPU and GPU time as possible, anything else is a waste. Games with better graphics don't strain hardware more then others, they just run at a lower framerate or the code is better simple as that. it seems like every convention you hear about some game overheating consoles and people panic about nothing.I'm really excited for ME2, but if it gives me RROD I will be pissed.
