1) I don't want to have a PC hooked up to my TV

2) Regardless of what some people say, most PC-only games are not designed to be viewed from 10 feet away from the screen

3) Using a keyboard and mouse while sitting on my couch sucks

4) I do not want to have to open up a device and add a new hardware to play a game that just came out

5) I do not want to have to scour the internet for some driver update

6) I don't want to buy a game only to find out some piece of hardware I have is "not supported"

7) I hate Windows, most games are on Windows.

8) I do not want to download the latest "patch", only to find out it breaks my game (happens rarely on consoles, too - I know)

9) My PC at home is for work. I do not want two computers at home (one for gaming, one for work).

10) Given #1, #2, and #3, I also do not want to sit at some desk and play video games while staring at my 22" screen.

Those reasons enough?

I think you are missing one important issue here: I am not interested in being convinced to use a PC to play video games. I have made up my mind after being a PC gamer for a number of years. We could be going around in circles for weeks, and neither one of us would end up agreeing with the other.

No they wont not for at least the first couple years. They will be at least DX11 and 1080p so most the pc advantages will come to extra framerates and resolutions that simply dont matter. Poor hermit trolls wont have much to boast about in the coming years.

I game on a pc but im sorry installing a full game , having hardware that is poorly optimized and keeping up with the latest drivers isnt really all that fun especially when you like to game and have lots of other things going on outside of gaming. Consoles are more conveniant and as time goes on the advantages that the pc offers will continue to get smaller and smaller as they have every generation.
