Has anyone else noticed this happening?
Console manufacturers have always created multiple controller designs (different colors, artwork) to get customers to buy more...
But Xbox seems to be in overkill on it lately. Every week, I'm selling another controller or two get announced. In the last couple of months, they've come out with arctic camo, a dark red, a bright blue, the green/orange one that looks like MC's helmet, and a couple "Shadow" designs with color fades. Oh, and that "Recon" controller with the grips on the front (I'll admit, curious to hold that and see how it feels).
They've also released a number of videos of color combos that've been "designed" by artists or game devs using the Design Lab.
Earlier today, a video of Kiki Wolfkill's controller design was dropped on Xbox's YouTube and just now, Dan Greenwald - Forza boss - tweeted a preview picture of his.
It seems like, between the Scorpio interviews and this stuff, they're distracting everyone with hardware to make up for the lack of software.
