Which one do you think is better.

I kind of agree :P That wins the thread. I don't want to walk around in a virtual chat room, nor do I want to play arcade games that are priced too high...and part of the appeal of going to the arcade was to play with other people.[QUOTE="shadow_hosi"]they are both pointless and i shall have nothing to do with eitherlafiro93

Thought overall, if one was to care, PS HOME is overall better.[QUOTE="shadow_hosi"]they are both pointless and i shall have nothing to do with eitherLongZhiZi
[QUOTE="slvrraven9"]modern day prices for super retro games. yeah i really see that taking off  and home has been a failure for FAR too long i hate both. dumb ideas on both fronts...FuhgeddaboudittHOME is bringing in millions though :? Don't say that, remember HOME is a "huge failure" and "pointless" even if you just want to hang out with friends or meet new people. Yes, besides real life, whoa.
um neither? let alone they couldn't be further different, gameroom simply being an arcade, and home being a 2nd life rip off.
Gameroom isn't trying to be more then it is right now a game room an arcade, Home was all ways trying and failing to be everything, I'm personally waiting for Sony's promise of home being my one stop for every thing on ps3 game launching, game buying, game lobbies...ect
I haven't played the Playstation Home but after playing Game Room I get the impression that it's not going for what I hear the Playstation home is.
The Game Room is largely not a social experience. You can't directly interact with other gamers in the Game Room. As far as it gets is players are able to look at each others' customized arcade spaces and compete for high scores. The actual games on the 360 are generally more social experiences than the Game Room.
The Game Room just seems to be a cash grab to be honest. It's there to try and incourage gamers to purchase extremely primitive games for pretty stupid prices. The download of the game room is free to lure in achievement hunters like myself and they try to convince players to drop a little cash to buy games or even just a short play session. The games are ancient and porting them couldn't have been hard. This application is here to get maximum profit with minimum development costs. Just like sales of avatar clothing.
So I really don't think the two can be compared. From my understanding the Playstation home is a largely social experience that also tries to let the player express themselves with their little customized Playstation characters. The Game Room is simply a glorified mini xbox live arcade market place.

Game Room. You don't have to walk around or wait for the space to install then load for days and keep on installing then loading everytime you walk your way to another area. I haven't been in Home since last year or like 3 or 4 months ago, and the Game Room just started but the retro games there are too retro for me. I'm looking forward for newer retro games and other themed Game Room in the future.
after the new update loading to new areas now takes like 5 seconds:) installing a new space never took more than 20 seconds. Home blows it away.Game Room. You don't have to walk around or wait for the space to install then load for days and keep on installing then loading everytime you walk your way to another area.

But trying to go from one space to another, there's always a load time, heaven forbid you have to update a space. That easily becomes tiresome.
Sorry, but I think Game Room is better simply because it knows what it wants to be and has all the features it needs to accomplish that. Port of the focus is that Game Room is still about gaming. Competitive high scores and leaderboards, achievements, being able to visit friends' person game rooms even if they're offline, challenges... very much the old school arcade experience.
Home is a little too all-over-the-place to be compelling. It tries to do too many things and does none of them very well.

of course there is always load time when a space can hold lots of other people each with unique avatars, even animated shirts/shoes, you name it. and whats wrong with a update to a space? Home all over the place is exactly why its better, it does tons more not to mention looks miles better in art and graphics.they are both pointless and i shall have nothing to do with eithershadow_hosi
I wil be the 8th person to agree.
Put it from a different perspective. You can download Imtellivision Lives on XBL and play muost of the Intellivision library or you can spend @3 and just purchase the Intellivision games you want and share them with friends. For the current game list they are offering nowGame Room isn't worth it, but if I wanted to play astrosmash now I would have to hunt down a working Intellivision and the game or buy Intellivision Lives and I wouldn't be able to share it online or spend $3 and challenge people. The 2600 library is a waste because you can get the full library and arcade games for about $15.
Home is a joke compared to this...

The whole scattershot approach to Home is exactly why it's boring. Most of the time spent there is just walking around. That's not a good use of my time.

i TOTALLY agree with that line, wholeheartedly. its the definitive line that describes home...
I kind of agree :P I agree, only girls play PS Home.[QUOTE="shadow_hosi"]they are both pointless and i shall have nothing to do with eitherlafiro93
