Well, I've played both games. I don't need to look at reviews to tell me what I think of them. And I would readily admit them as an "awesome addition" if I thought they where awesome games, but I don't.

This is why I like the way Giant Bomb calls it the XBLM, rather than arcade. Originals and other full game downloads like these are hard to see under an "arcade" umbrella. While it's true, as was pointed out, that Sony also has a classics section, thats the weakest link in their online store, at least outside of Japan. In the EU and NA. the MS Originals have already surpassed the slow hit and miss PSone classics in quality, (a lot of these games are by no means classic) and at the slow rate of relase from SCEA and SCEE, in quantity soon as well. MS gets at least one classic a month, PS3 is lucky to get one every three months outside of Japan.CronoSquall

I'm also a little letdown with MS though, July only got one Original, and it's still widely available in bargain bins for less than the XBLM version. July would have been a great time for Shenmue 2, JSRF, or Panzer Dragoon Orta. The underappreciated gems of the Xbox lineup.

Three of the games you're listing are not available, and XBLA is adding several compelling games starting today with Geometry Wars 2, through the end of August. (Braid and Castle Crashers look fantastic) You also seem to forget you could be using Pixel Junk Eden in PSN's defense, that arrives tomorrow, or even existing games like Stardust, Tekken 5 Online, Everyday Shooter, and Pixel Junk Monsters. PSN is closing the gap, but right here and now, XBLM is the king of the hill.

When is Banjo the originals coming to DVD proper? The new one is, but I heard nothing of the original 2 coming to disc.

As for WipEOut HD, its had release dates a few times now. It was originally supposed to release Holiday 2007, then again in July, now its in Autumn.
