[QUOTE="LastSamurai14"]the virtual console has N64 games....and the N64 rocked. So no. It also has SNES/NES which also rocked, but to a lesser extent.
XBLA games really aren't super-amazingly-great. Hell, PSN has some downloadable games which are really generating some hype (as far as downloadable games go), echochrome, pain, everyday shooter, superstardust HD,and more.

This is the flaw in the argurment which Nintendo fans need to REALIZE. N64 is my favourite console ever(along with PS2) but cmon, the games they have released on it i own and are not worth $10 each. Also they won't have every GAME...when will peopel understand this? There will only be around 20 N64 games in VC's lifetime and NONE of those will be RARE titles(half of N64's AAA library were RARE games).
IT can't play every SNES game, it can't play every NES game, but only the ones we have played 100 times before. Why not Mario RPG? Crono Trigger? Rare gems that a lot of people missed out on..even then i can play these on emu(legal begal who gives a monkeys). VC is far inferior to XBLA. XBLA has newer titles as well as old titles with added content like Golden Axe online and PoP classic remake. Also has leaderboards which gives a far better sellign point than"omfg a classic".
I think by 2008 the Virtual console will become a hot property. At the moment Nintendo are stalling all there high quality games and will probably release more of them around there big 3 releases like when Metroid Launches. Metroid on the Snes and Nes will probably be released on the virtual console.
And I think the appeal of the Virtual console is to play the games untouched. I mean I would rather play the original Mario 64 than Mario 64 DS its the nostalgia value.
