i was looking at a video about the new Dashboard and he said something about people that pay for gold or netflix will be able to view movies or maybe im taking what he said the wrong way?

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/36411.html?type=flv#comments_top

Or maybe you need gole+netflix.

Will in till netflix comes to canada i cant use it any ways but it still would be cool if it were free to people that pay for gold.

edit: from what i have see of the new Dashboard and how i stream videos to my 360 with Tversity itdont seem like its going to work any more:(

That would be very good.

I'd love to see some way to justify the price of Gold.

If you have to pay for both, double-LoL.

these are definitely questions that need to be answered.

I would pay for XBL Gold without hesitation if Netflix is FREE beyond that.......

No free netflix it's confermed 9$ a month. But hey that means unlimited 360 movies (streamed from pc) and I think a few mailed to your house. Not in canada though....:(

Well, that's cheaper than regular Netflix. I mean the 3 DVD Netflix sub. That's 17-18-ish I think?

it means u don't have to buy a subscrption to have the option to rent netflixs from XBL, it means gold subscribers are already set for netflixs and will have bonsuses when the service launches but it doesn't mean free movie downloads....does it?

it means the service will be on your 360, but you need to activate a netflix account (most likely the $8.99 plan or higher) in order to access the unlimited movie streaming.

So let's recap:

LIVE Gold - $30-$50

Netflix minimum package for unlimited streaming - $8.99

that will get you netflix streaming.

It means microsoft needs to clarify this with a Q&A section, because people are getting confused.

From NetFlix website:

Can I instantly watch movies streamed from the Netflix website via my Xbox 360?

Watching instantly on your TV via your Xbox 360 will be available to Netflix members in the late fall of 2008. Watching movies & TV episodes instantly on your TV from Netflix via your Xbox 360 will be included with most plans. You'll choose from a separate, smaller library of over 10,000 movies & TV episodes. With most membership plans, you can watch as many movies from this library as you want - anytime you want - instantly on your PC or via a Netflix ready device on your TV. This will be a bonus to the DVDs you get by mail and will be included with your membership at no additional fee. To watch instantly on your Xbox 360 you will need an Xbox LIVE Gold membership.

Its not as big a deal as everyone is making it, its only the instant watch movies that are on netflix, which are usually older movies, and not the greatest of the older ones. I have my computer hooked up to my tv anyways so this really doesnt affect me at all.

Its only 10,000 if the 100,000 movies, Netflix streaming movies

theres your proof

How many choices are available to watch via a Netflix ready device?

"There are over 10,000 instant watching choices, but very few are new releases. So instant watching is a great supplement to our DVD catalog of 100,000 titles, but it is not a replacement. You will want to use both. Instant movies and TV episodes give you maximum spontaneity and DVDs give you maximum choice."

Ya it would be for people that (pay ) for gold.

Even if they worked out something with netflix to let us have one free movie a month would more then make up the cost for gold.

Netflix subscribers will be able to stream movies on xbox live when the service launches. You have to have a subscription to netflix. Gold on live is not needed, Silver will do it also. Nothing big, just an extra way to get your movies if you are a netflix subscriber, and have an xbox. Google it. it's all over the internet.

it is a lot, just not what i think everyone was expecting, i can see all the instant watch movies right now, and the list of movies isnt really all that great, whenever i think oh i wanna go watch this, its not in the instant watch movie section. A lot of the 10,000 movies are tv shows also, but there are a few good movies thrown in there

See www.xbox.com/netflix I was wrong, you have to have both a gold membership, and a netflix membership to stream movies and tv shows for free. (No cost of Microsoft points)
