Xbox Live Users.

I was just wondering if it was more comman to actually have friends that you know personally on your xbox live list than adding strangers from matchmaking?

I'm just curious about this for a lot of reasons, mainly to see if the focus on online multiplayer has been worse for gaming or better. Has the lack of a split screen provented people you know from "getting into" games you like, or helped it?

Most of the friends on my XBL list are real-life friends.

I think it's better for gaming from the perspective that it's easier to organize a game. In terms of real fun, of course, the split screen, everyone hovering around one TV solution is always the best.

Most of my friends are strangers but we are pretty tight because we boost in online games together so we have a lot of time to shoot the breeze.

The rest are relatives.

My friends are one of the reasons I got a 360 and live.

That is true. That is probably the best thing about live. I have a mixture of friends from all over the world and strangers.
