Xbox One holiday price cut ending on January 3

Did you get one, SW? I did, and so far, the experience has been pretty meh. Still have trouble getting a match on Halo MCC.

Why get one now when there won't be any games worth playing on it til next holiday season and their will be another price slash even greater than this one?

It's better to wait til xbone is dirt cheap and actually has some games than to buy it now and wait for a year for some games worth playing.

X1 should continue to dominate PS4 all next year, I don't think PS4 has a chance now, they have nothing to compete with Halo 5

I've had one since launch (same with Wii U and PS4) but I urged friends and family that was on the fence to get one at the low price while they could. Most of the people I know in "real life" are pretty casual gamers and only play shooters and sports games. They know nothing of resolution, frame rates or tech specs and are all enjoying their purchase. I tried to mention things about the differences between the tech in the PS4 and Xbox One and their eyes just glazed over. Sometimes I wish I could go back to those days when gaming was so simple.

Once its back to its original price Sales will be at a halt again forcing MS to drop the price back down to $350, permanently...it'll be another 180 that MS pulls.

I've had one since launch day and I must say it has improve a lot since then. I love the changes and updates it has had from one year ago to now. I guess the MCC connections issues are isolated now cause I have no problems at all getting online now, I can find games very quickly since the last update a few weeks ago.

Sadly I got one at launch. I'd much rather have gotten one without Kinect.

Microsoft might want to rethink it's strategy, especially the gimped Xbone in China now that the PS4 almost confirmed as being not gimped.

Except PS4 has games, high profile ones, and they are new IP, EXCLUSIVE with confirmed dates releasing in the first quarter of 2015...so in no way is that a "good description" of the PS4 as well, lol what a dumb thing to say lostrib. Honestly if you are buying a system now xbone is the only system my post is a good description of. Unless you have release dates of high profile xbox one games i haven't heard about or you have news of the confirmed dates of exclusive games coming out 1Q 2015 on PS4 getting delayed you should stop talking non-sense.

Yes the PS4 has more games coming out Q1-Q2 2015 than the Xbox One does. But that's like saying the Xbox One had a better launch lineup than the PS4. What are we really talking about here?

I get what you're saying with The Order, I'm getting a Infamous SS vibe from that, pretty to look at but with no multiplayer or co-op, it might be anothe short story game not worth $65. I'm in no way excited about that game but Bloodborne is a whole other monster of a game. That game I think will be big for the PS4.

Maybe PS4 will continue on beng current gen 8 console leader.

You guys are foolish to think they will keep this price back up to $400 for long...it's just temporary. At worst, we'll be Looking forward to the E3 2015 $50 price drop ($349 again!) and accompanying PR that's the "price is back because we demanded it!"

I would take the order over nothing for the first 9 months of 2015.

I was set on buying both last year but after the reveal and e3 the X1 was immediately crossed off the list. Also the exclusives haven't appealed to me well except rise of the tomb raider I am still pissed about that but whatever it ain't the end of the world got uncharted to look forward too.

I got the SO bundle for $400, and i've enjoyed it plenty at that price point. Still, this drop no doubt helped sales.

A mistake in my opinion.. clearly price matters and if Microsoft wants to close the sales gap as quickly as possible a $50 price advantage would have been a huge help

I pretty much regretted purchasing an xboxone after 2 days.

I am going to regret it even more in the next 6 months because nothing is on it.

And you would take that same bag after i am done with it and play with it 10 times as long at is has the XBOX logo on it.

I will predict what happens. Price goes back, everyone stops giving a flying crap about Xbone and 1-2 months after MS drops the console price to $350. You need to be out of your god damn mind (or high, that's another option) to spend $400 on a Bone when PS4 costs the same AND has bloodborne around the corner.

Halo fans have undoubtedly already picked up the X1. It's the non Halo fans they have to win over now.

got one in november and im having a ton of fun. got so many games to play that ive barely touched my pc in a few weeks

I got the Microsoft Store Black Friday deal where they had the AC Unity + Black Flag + Free game of choice for $329, so got Far Cry 4 with it free, also took advantage of other Black Friday deals like Dead Rising 3 for $25, Tomb Raider $20, Metro Redux $20, Shadow of Mordor $25, Alien Isolation $30, Evil Within $25, and Sunset Overdrive for $40, also been taking advantage of digital deals since like Titanfall Deluxe Edition $12.50, Thief $12, MGSV: Ground Zeroes $6.60, Walking Dead (Telltales) Season 1 & 2 for $25, got a few GwG games including the latest D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, got Crimson Dragon no sale but I've been stoked to play that, got Wolf Among Us (Telltale) for $15 on sale, oh and Lara Croft Temple of Osiris. Only regret on deals was not getting Outlast for $8 instead of $20, I thought it was a weekly deal but it was one of those daily deals. I've been taking advantage of the deals quicker than I can play them so hopefully it's enough to hold me off for a while until some real good games come out.

I was debating between an Xbox One and PS4 but the holiday deals on the Xbox One were too good to pass up, plus it had more exclusives (or games not on PS4) I wanted to play like Dead Rising 3 (loved the Dead Rising series), Crimson Dragon (loved the Panzer Dragoon series, especially Orta), Sunset Overdrive, Halo MCC, Titanfall, D4 (loved Deadly Premonition), and really stoked to want to play the upcoming Rise of the Tomb Raider, always been a Tomb Raider fan but the 2013 game was awesome and definitely looking forward to the next. Given that the PS4 didn't have anything exclusive to it I want until Persona 5 arrives I'd thought I'd wait on that.
