Xbox One release date leaked by Amazon

Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the holiday season where droves of American shoppers find themselves stuffed full of turkey from the night before and lined up in front of big box retailers across the country; all looking for the best holiday bargain they can find. But is Microsoft really about to launch a console on the biggest shopping day of the year? If the recent date changes to Amazons Xbox Ones listings are any indication, its looking like that might just be happening.

 

Both retailers Gamestop and Walmart are still showing tentative dates of 12/31/13 which are obvious placeholders. Microsoft has already made it clear that they will in fact launch the Xbox One in November (first line here), the only question was when?

Amazon has gone ahead and published not just the console date but also the dates of a handful of launch titles and marked them all down for November 27th 2013. According to the online retailer, Need for Speed: Rivals and Call of Duty: Ghosts will both keep their respective street dates launching alongside their current gen counterparts. The systems peripherals such as the play and charge kit and extra controllers are also listed for the 27th.

 

On Tuesday, Kotaku un-confirmed the November 8th release date that was previously being rumored, while Ubisofts Watch_Dogs has been confirmed  by Microsoft as a launch title ( which hits current gen consoles on November 19th), making this new date adjustment by Amazon a little more believable.

(UPDATE)  Heres a screencap of a conversation with an Amazon support rep confirming the 27th.

Me personally? I'll be sitting at home in my comfortable leather chair, enjoying PlayStation 4 games :)

This also means that PS4 will have timed-next-gen-exclusivity on some big games like Watch Dogs, Battlefield 4, and COD:Ghosts.

That's quite comprehensive. Would be really hard for it to be an slight slip up by someone. Will be interesting to see how this develops.

are there even going to be consoles available in the stores? the black friday comment doesnt have much relevance if not.

PS4 has like 25+ games available at launch. There is plenty to choose from for everyone. At least it's not getting old ports of 7th gen games that perform equally to PS3/360.

I feel sorry for all the people who will have to work in video game departments this holiday.

I can hear it already "For the 23,345th time I dont think the xbox one will spy on you. The kinect is like the other kinect. Yes the ps4 is cheaper and I dont think it spies on you either. No you cant play ps3 games on your ps4, no you cant play 360 games on the xbox one. Yes if you want to use netflix youll have to buy this XBLG card, no you dont have to on the ps4. Yes you need to pay to play games online for both systems, but not always on the ps4. The wiiu is like a wii but with a tablet, no I dont know what its for. Are people serious? This has been on Amazon for months and it was already refuted as a placeholder... Nothing to see here.

Its weird that the games and accessories have a date, but the console itself does not. Even going by placeholder standards, those are all launch titles and accessories, you'd wanna have them all sharing the same placeholder date. Either way, I don't think we'll have to wait much longer to find out ;)

Microsoft needs to announce a date soon. Its so close to the expected release date and it's a bit worrying that we know nothing yet.II_Seraphim_II

I wouldn't say it is super worrying. The 360's release date wasn't announced until September. Plus, I don't think it matteres too much. I liken it to Apple announcing an iphone and releasing it within a couple of weeks. Either way there are 30 days in November so that narrows it a bit lol.
