Xbox One sales on Black Friday 22% higher than last year

Where does that put things? Xbox One won November and Black Friday last year, what would the numbers be for that this year, just shy of 900,000 units for the day?

I stopped trusting Microsoft after they refused to put out Halo numbers.

Does that mean Sony did over 1million with there Playstation 4? Very good numbers for the Xbox, if accurate, it's not going out without a fight.

Why do you think the PlayStation 4 sold more? It sold in excess of 200,000 less last year.

@nyadc: From reports that Sony sold the most consoles on Black Friday. Watched it on IGN and read about it on some other gaming news site. If it's that important then I'm sure you can find it online. If I'm wrong please correct me though.

people get out of hand with sales at times. Especially when they build themselves up to "win"...

Some people are expecting a bloodbath to occur where the ps4 beats the xbox one by like hundreds of thousands(200K+) because of battlefront 3 and cod BO3 even though they are indications that BF3 will probably do very well in december, but still do great in November, If the ps4 and xbox one are close or tie with each other the NPD will be really interesting later today.

Pipedreams man, VGChartz (I know HAHAHAHA) put the Xbox One at 200,000+ units ahead of the PlayStation 4 last year for the week and it turned out to be pretty accurate, this year the Xbox One is up 90,000 for the week according to them, so another Xbox victory seems extremely likely.

Vgchartz is not that accurate. Is it possible that the xbox one eked out a slight win this time or was very very close to the ps4 in the US during November.I mentioned this earlier but I would add info about the temporary price drop that was talked about in that article in your OP.

Wouldn't it be a bigger deal that the PS4 was close to the X1 than the other way around since the X1 has been on top other black Friday's by a good bit?

Microsoft has always had a heavy handed holiday season and apparently this is their second strongest Black Friday on record for Xbox, if the Xbox One moved close to 900,000 units that would be impressive. Sony just announced this is their best Black Friday ever for PlayStation, so the question is, is Sony's best Black Friday better than Microsoft's second best Black Friday?

Someone has to have some kind of figures for Sony's side of things, maybe their previous best Black Friday.

Don't really care about numbers but is this even surprising to anyone? With all the bundles and sales and the great games that came out this holiday, I wouldn't be surprised if both consoles sold over 1 million in that time frame. Both the Playstation and Xbox had a monster black friday weekend.

Like what we've already known, they're using Xbox Store sales. Not sales figures from retailers. So your 200K more estimate is flawed as we don't know Xbox Store sales figures from last year, or ever...

I knew that overpriced C.E. was going to go way, way, way down in price. I love the idea that the overpriced C.E. was put out there for uber fans and it comes with a Digital game download code only/No disc included. Now it's $99.
