Not sure if hotter is a big deal as it has all that ventilation. But the ps4 seems to be a lot louder which is much more of a factor in regards to overall experience
Not sure if serious...
Running hotter can get your hardware to die faster, specially the xbox one GPU which is weaker than the PS4 one,how in hell the PS4 is running cooler with 6 watts more of consumption.?
At the distance of 1 meter which is i am sure smaller than most people play on consoles,is 42db for the PS4 41db for the xbox one, even less since i don't play games on mute.

That's why they made the X1 so big, so it is just cool and quiet all the time and as they say, it's designed to be left on for a long time.
Didn't you read the link.? it runs hotter than the PS4 which has a build in power supply WTF..
Sony make an incredible console wow,it runs at higher watts than the xbox one, with a build in power supply something the xbox one doesn't have which also generates more heat inside the console, and still runs 5 degrees colder while gaming.
Confirmed the xbox one design is huge because the Soc was running to hot,and now we get why it doesn't have an internal power supply and most have that horrible power brick.

and if you can't afford your electricity bill, worrying about the power consumption of a next gen console probably shouldn't be a priority
Now this is true damage control EU has some strict energy regulations,in EU electricity is more expensive than in US dude specially in UK where basically everything is more expensive than in other parts of the world.
The xbox one would probably not be able to use standby on EU do to regulations neither will the PS4 i think.
