if this is true, this just changed freaking everything. But it cant be, it makes no sense. WHy have drm if your going to lose 10 sales on every game? So instead of selling 1 million you only sell 100,000 games, call of duty would have only sold 300,000 with this model.

This isn't going to work how the TC thinks, get real dude. You'll have to be part of the family, probably have to be on the same internet, can only have a game running in one place at a time etc...

You're probably right, but if you can share w/ people in another state, that's pretty damn awesome. I doubt it's true though. This isn't going to work how the TC thinks, get real dude. It amounts to adding someone to the group. I concede on the playing at the same time won't work-- probably won't, someone else pointed that out. But essentially you can borrow between 10 people. Not bad. Have you let more than that number of people borrow your games this gne/borrowed from? I havent. I doubt you have--> although Im sure there are exceptions to this. This isn't going to work how the TC thinks, get real dude. If it's not tied to a console, does it matter? That's actually a nice feature, but they still need to clarify what "family" actually means.

Not necessarily true. I can buy a game off the marketplace now and share it with the 86 people on my friends list and they all can play it, regardless if I'm playing it at the time they want to play it.This isn't going to work how the TC thinks, get real dude. Because not everyone is going to do this and there is probably some incentive not to such as having to give your information to someone else. That's what keeps everyone from sharing their steam account information with everyone else so we could all have free PC games.if this is true, this just changed freaking everything. That's not bad if true. Sharing your game collection with your "family" could save you and your friends quite a few bucks if you want to share games with each other. It doesn't work with multiplayer games though if you want to play online with your friends. Seriously, MS should get rid of the stupid "pay full price" policy of sharing the physical copy of a game.:x What if I want to bring my MP games over a friend's house to play or vice versa?
I doubt it's that plain and simple. You would essentially make "piracy" an even worse issue by making 1 copy into 10.
EDIT - They need to clarify what "family" means. Perhaps sub-accounts on the XBL subscription?
furthermore, xbox one gold subs now work for the whole console. one sub for a console. currently ps+ does not work this way so....SmugDarkLoser0Actually, Yoshida confirmed that a single PSN+ subscription will work across all sub accounts on PS4. MS nor Sony are stupid enough to do that.
furthermore, xbox one gold subs now work for the whole console. one sub for a console. currently ps+ does not work this way so....SmugDarkLoser0Yes it does. I have PS+ and that's exactly how it works. Both my kids and girl each have their own sub account and have access to everything.
Actually, Yoshida confirmed that a single PSN+ subscription will work across all sub accounts on PS4.Nonstop-MadnessThanks for that. It's something that I've been wondering :)
[QUOTE="BrunoBRS"]needs to be lv10 to post. and the competition allows you to share your games with as many people as you want.BlabadonMissing TC's point. Gamesharing the digital version, if he's correctExcept only two people can access a game from the Shared Games Library, even if it they are playing different titles, at a time. Morever Microsoft will likely either have hierachical accounts like Parent and Child tiers to deterime who is in a "Family", or check the IP of an account to see if it is coming form the same house as the "Home" Xbox One.

TC, it means you can only use your account on 9 other boxes. That means that all those boxes can play it, but they have to be signed into the same account--so none of them can play it at the same time.
This will mean game sharing is almost impossible since the console has to be connected to the internet every 24 hours. You can sign into a console, play the game and take it offline, but you can only play that game for another 23 hours and 50 minutes until you have to sign in again to that account.
that video does not get old. STRAIGHT attack towards microssoft. SO simple and SO destroying to MS........... this just in (Sony Wins).

MS says 10 family members, not any 10 people, and I doubt they'd mention that without some way to verify to some extent that you're a family. Â Pehaps all accounts have to have the same master console? I haven't created a Live account in a Loooong time so I don't know how things work now, or how they may be switched to accomodate. Â
Â
It's been looked at as potentially exploitable since MS mentioned it, but we just don't have the details yet to know for sure.
I like the thought of the game sharing system.
That'll definitely help at Halo LAN parties.

"You can have up to ten people in your Xbox One "family", and can share all your content among them, regardless of which console they're using."
That's the reality right there.

Even without the ability to play at the same time, its a great feature. I've only traded games with 3 or 4 people this generation so if this turns out to be true I have no issue with the way the games can be shared then. Also they said 'content' not games, does anyone think there is any chance they might mean movies and shows as well? Probably not but that would be cool.[QUOTE="neo418"][QUOTE="Ly_the_Fairy"]

Probably not but that would be cool. When they announced the feature I recall the MS rep saying that the game owner has 100% access to their game library at any time regardless of sharing.
Not sure if it's the same for other content though, but yeah that would be cool. You could have an awesome movie night with your friends across country.
