Xbox One X destroys PC in value, build me a comparable PC with pre-mining prices, easy you can't!

I know we're all accustomed to seeing those cheap builds with all sorts of components stuffed in cheap cases, no Windows and so on and so forth.

Some of them even come close to the $500 price tag of the X. Now allow me to explain why those comparisons are not only ridiculous but also dishonest.

The reason is SIZE. A small form factor such as with the X is EXPENSIVE. The X uses mostly laptop parts to achieve it's small footprint and performance. It achieves this while also having a UHD Blu-Ray player, very quiet and runs cool. It even comes with a controller and some games on a deal.

The honest comparison would be build a PC the same size and with the same performance as the X with the budget of $500. You won't even come close. You can't do it even with those Frankenstein builds, imagine with the small form factor cool and quiet htpc, laughable!

How much does a laptop with X performance cost? Anywhere near $500? I am giving you guys pre-mining prices. It won't make a difference, who wants to waste their time coming up with a build that comes even close?

X1X offers by far the biggest bang for the buck in VG's today. Loving mine especially thanks to MS and X1, 360 and OG Xbox, X1X Enhanced games. My goodness, it's like free remasters and makes those older games seem almost new again. Great stuff. :D

So true, I am loving Red Dead Redemption enhanced to the gills. It looks and runs great. The cows arguments have gotten so lame, they are actually attacking great BC. Imagine if the Pro was putting out PS3 exclusives in full 4k. Do you think the cows would be claiming that was lame?

Yeah baby, I'm about 90% complete on my recent play through of RDR and I'm serious, that game on X1X can not only compete with some of the best of this gen but rather in some ways exceeds them.

Makes October and the launch of RDR2 a difficult wait but now I'll be ready for round 2 and oh my, if RDR looks and plays this good on X1X, I'm prepared for my mind being blown by RDR2 on X1X. :D

That's my gaming build son. My office work build consists of a 3770K with 16GB DDR3 and a mighty R9 380 8GB, Also my 4 core 4.2GHz i5 runs rings around the current generation of consoles... Core's mean very little past 4 its why Ryzen 6/8 core CPU's get curb stomped by overclocked 6600K's and 8350K's.

Its for games though right?... If I connect the X1X it to my 21:9 monitor can I play games at 21:9 and 144Hz?... I am really interesting in investing into the X, just wanted to know If I could still use my GAMING monitor with it.

So you want us to build a pc, which does a shit load more than the Scorpio, but not mention all the value and benefits from said PC? Haha.

@Xplode_games: If you want to build a budget PC for $500, then I would suggest get one of those Ryzen APU/AMD Ryzen 5 2400G Processor with Radeon RX Vega 11 Graphics would be something to consider without spending on a GPU later on.

Gtx 1060 6gb is currently at 360€ and higher.

If you go for 4k gaming on forza and gears at ultra 60fps you gonna need a 1070 and that alone is the price of one x (Was 470€ with 1 game and 2 controller on last sale a month ago). If you wait for sales you can buy it with extra games and controllers and for 50€ less than base price. it happens often on all consoles on gaming stores.

So building a one x pc equivalent for 500 is just a dream. I say that and I own pc too.

Well the reason is they are mass produced to bring costs down. Small doesn't really push costs up anymore, at least not if you're shooting for the X1X size. Making these threads just shows you don't understand why someone would build a PC over a console. If you're cool with using a console, that's great - that's why they exist.

Been working great since I built it. I have it hooked up to a 4K TV. If I have trouble hitting 60fps in any game I just bump it down to 1080p. The 1060 6GB is a surprisingly powerful little card. I'd take it any day over an X1X.

It's got bluetooth for wireless controllers and wifi (even tho it's hard wired for streaming those large video files from the server). It's perfect for an HTPC that gets used mostly for watching video and occasional gaming when I have friends over.

Both ps4 slim and pro at current 250 and 350 prices are great price performers with great exclusives. But this topic is about one x and its impossible to build a pc with similar bang for your buck

Yeah you need a 7th gen Intel CPU and Windows for the DRM.

Standalone UHD Blu-ray players are only $100+, and an X1S is just over $200. No reason to buy an X1X if you're not going to use it for gaming.

And why would anybody play on PC with a mixture with low settings on 30 fps on 4k versus far more smoother game play?

I have been playing at 2K (which console gamers dont even know what that is) for nearly 10 years now and the last physical copy of a game I bought was nearly 8 years ago.

Why would you want a 4k bluray player on a 34" 21:9 monitor or smaller?

You console gamers seem to want a jack of all trades but master of non situation.

You can argue price all you if that helps you sleep, the simple fact is many people build PC's to be a master of something not a jack of all trades $500 black box.

If I want 4K bluray I would get a dedicated player just like I did with my bluray player for my projector setup.

Money... It can buy you wonderful experiences, you should know with you OLED and 18" sub skimping will not give you the performance that will blow your mind.

Monitor companies are slow to implement tech at times in the PC market but for gaming, I am sorry to break it to you if you have the money PC is the only place to spend it where it.

God why am I doing this again, you insecure people can continue with this jibberish delusional jabber, I'll continue to play PUBG and Farcry 5 at 90-100 FPS on a 144Hz Gsync panel while you try and convince people that 30FPS regardless of resolution is better for gaming.
