I've got a serious non-fanboy question for you though. With the creators of FF and Chrono Trigger and the numerous JRPG's being announced on the 360 from alot of high profile Japanese Devs, is you're interest growing in the Xbox 360 (since it clearly wasn't there with the Xbox, which i can understand if you really are bent on playing JRPG's)?

I would have liked Dreamcast a lot more if the controller wasn't so funky.

yes, my interest has grown for the 360 since NNN and enchant arm BUT enchant arm wasn't all I hoped it would be and one game ain't gonna cut it. so there goes 360, I wasn't planning on buying any of the next-gen consoles anyways as my new computer cost me an arm and a leg and I still have to pay for it... maybe after I graduate from my 3D animation class.(I would like to point out that no Square-Enix game is in developpement for 360 only a port of FFXI.).

i agree. i think casual is a better thing than hardcore, hardcore means all you do is play games, which makes you a nerd, or geek, or whatever you wanna call it, either way it's a hermit. do u take pride in that? but anyway, 1. ps2=xbox, i really cant decide between the two, even though i ahve a ps2 3. ps1- ton of good games, mgs, and gran turismo good enough for me 4. dreamcast, thought it sucked, and then i bought one, its really cool, but not for a current gen even though it was supposed to be 5. gamecube- it had a lot of good exclusives, they all became non exclusive though, super monkey ball, viewtiful joe, resident evil 6. N64- i never liked n64, as much fun as i had with goldeneye, i wasnt impressed by it

yes, my interest has grown for the 360 since NNN and enchant arm BUT enchant arm wasn't all I hoped it would be and one game ain't gonna cut it. so there goes 360, I wasn't planning on buying any of the next-gen consoles anyways as my new computer cost me an arm and a leg and I still have to pay for it... maybe after I graduate from my 3D animation class.(I would like to point out that no Square-Enix game is in developpement for 360 only a port of FFXI.). Am I off your blind fanboy radar yet? :P

PS2 gets the #1 slot because not only did it have the best variety and largest number of must-have titles this gen, it also can play all the PS1 games. It's also got the excellent greatest hits collection, which means more great $20 games than I'll ever have time to play.
PS1: MGS, FF7, FF tactics, Castlevania SOTN, Wipeout XL and more. Games I'm still playing in this gen. :)
Xbox was an excellent console, it just needed a bit more variety... too many shooters and racers for my tastes. Still, I'll give it the #3 slot, which means I liked it.
Gamecube... well, it needed more games but the good games, Metroid Prime, SSBM, RE4, Zelda, Eternal Darkness place it above the bottom two consoles, but really, not by much.
I'm a dreamcast fan, but the system ran out of games far too early, and sadly, many of the best DC games ended up getting ported to the newer consoles.
N64 had some top-notch classics (OOT, Golden Eye, Perfect dark, Mario 64) but not enough of them. Also, the $70 cartridge price was terrible. I never owned an N64 but I ended up playing all the above games all the way through... I just never thought it was worth owning.

i liked the dreamcast controller but the wire was a little wierd
Let me first state that I loved all these consoles, and just because one of them is in sixth place, doesn't mean it sucked, it just means that I had more fun with the other consoles. They're all awesome in my books.
Where are the classic systems? 1) N64 2) PS1 3) Dreamcast 4) Gamecube (had a lot more fun with it) 5) XBOX (got bored with it) 6) PS2 (had it, got bored, sold it)
