The same thing that will happen to the PS3 life span. Will sell for 10 years but a the next console comes out 6-7 year within its life span.

I agree that sony screwed themself with the high price and lack of games. I have been a PS3 owner since launch but i felt ripped off with the high price and the lack of games so i wont be buying the PS4 at lauch next time. This will also hurt Sony as any new consoles need to get the totalnumber of consolesold up fast to getmulti-plateform developersmaking games for them as shown at the start of the PS3 life.

It seems very important that Microsoft release a system before the ps4 hits.I don't think theywant to go head to head with the PS4with potentially the same priced boxes launching in the same year. That would put them behind in 2 territories and they'd have a heck of a battle in NA otherwise. I don't think Sony will need to include a new format next time either so they probably won't be hampered by pricepoint as much like this gen , they lived ... they learned.(hopefully) I'm guessing the PS4 hits holiday 2012 at $400 .... and the 360 late 2011 at $400 (with a pricedrop on the ps3's launch). :twisted:

Both systems will have blu-ray standard(faster drives) and motion controller packed-in imo for the casual market.
