I will never defend the RROD problems.

It was the main reason I waited so long to buy one.

But like the first console I had problems with, (PS1, I had to put the console upside down to play games :P )

it has so many games that I just need to play and can't on the others.

After dominating for 2 generations, Sony's sorry excuse for a third attempt...well that is what most rational people would call a FAILURE.

And the next generation does not look good for Sony fans either...the PS4 is going to be same machine (same processor and the dificult architecture developers love so much) Sony released this gen.

I also used to own a 360, but it got RROD twice, and I got rid of it.

I hope the next Xbox is MUCH better, because I was an Xbox fan until the 360!

Perhaps PS3 don't break down because their owners don't actually use it very much.  Sure, if my 360 just sat there gathering dust, I'm sure I would not have gotten my only RROD.  After about a week and a half I was back in gaming business.  Much better than buying a console and then waiting 2 years for some good games to be released.

You're still missing the point! You shouldn't have to be out of "gaming business" for a week and a half. If you put your ridiculous fanboy rant to the side, nobody in here is stating anything about the PS3 or the games for 360. The truth is M$ sold you, me and everyone else I know, faulty hardware. The console is a piece of ****, but has great games to play when you can "ACTUALLY" play them. With fanboys like you in the world, I fear M$ will not do anything to prevent this in the future because you fools are too blinded to see the real problem with it.

It's the number one reason why I didn't buy a 360.

Though I wonder how games like Gears 2, Halo 3, Viva Pinata, L4D, XBL are, I enjoy my trusty PS3 and their trustworthy lineup of games that slowly but surely come.

I played my 360 every day for two years without a problem before I got the RROD...but yeah, there is no doubt that launch 360s had a big problem.  Most of the problems went away with the Falcon.  I expect the 360 to be just as reliable as the PS3 when the new Jaspers are shipped to stores.
