"Grubb discusses a Phil Spencer photo with many interesting items on the shelf in the background, including a Nintendo Switch. (that image can be seen at ResetEra right here). In the video, Grubb states that "everything on Phil's shelf meant something incoming."

Obviously this is only speculation, but what are your thoughts, System Warriors?

Could be as "small" as a Smash character being announced (Master Chief!?), or as big as Gamepass on Switch, which would obv be a game changer. Either way, MSFT obviously making moves.

Maybe MS agreed to show Nintendo what is a server in 2021.

You'll be surprise in the SSBU community that the Master Chief is high demand in the game and MS already has Banjo/Kazooie, so who's to say no towards MC? As for Conker, he's been irrelevant for years...but I still yarned for a new Bad Fur Day.

@R4gn4r0k: I chuckled at this. My thought as well. Microsoft is still not finished buying up the vg universe. 7 million? Nintendo is asking for to much?lol.

A lot of good possibilities... I'd love any of these options:

1. Halo CE is coming to Switch and Master Chief is in Smash

2. Rare Replay is coming to Switch including Donkey Kong stuff

3. They shook hands on Goldeneye. Switch and Xbox both get the remastered Xbox Live Arcade version.

So I'll keep expectations low xD like they agreed to do a commercial together advertising E3.

I'll take Master Chief cause Smash doesn't have a solid FPS rep yet.

Nintendo has been trying to frantically break off more into the online segment and MS has been tied to them doing just that on several occasions. My guess is that Nin and MS will make a deal that Nin games run off of MS servers online and MS provides the online experience. Just a guess, but a educated one at that.

I fail to see why it would need one.

I'll take wacky characters fitting in with the rest in my Smash rather than cool action hero from Halo any day.

I personally think that the Super Smash Bros. series needs more representation of characters from Western-developed games than what gaming genre they originate from. There are enough characters from Japanese-developed games and especially characters owned by Nintendo.

I hope Master Chief gets in Super Smash Bros.

It's not like there's an oversaturation of space commando characters in Smash Bros. You can kinda justify Samus looking the part, but that's really pushing it. I'm going with Master Chief, but I'd also be cool with Doomslayer. I think more about the genre representation in the Smash series, and a solid FPS rep is something lacking currently, but we're not lacking wacky platformer characters.

Believe me, I want some more wacky characters too, but I also want an FPS rep. For what it's worth, the most likely wacky character we're gonna get is Crash Bandicoot, and I'll be cool with that. If the last two DLC fighters ended up being Crash and Chief, I'd be super cool with that.

I’d love to see Master Chief in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Rumor is Game Pass coming to Switch. Game Pass could never happen on the current Switch given that every single game on Game Pass would need to be made into downgraded ports ala Apex Legends and The Witcher. Maybe... Just maybe... Nintendo is releasing a 'Super Nintendo Switch' this Holiday solely for this purpose. A console that could run the current versions of Game Pass.

Imagine Nintendo announcing the Super Nintendo Switch this E3 with the Game Pass logo on the screen.

Ooh, hell yes, Crash would be awesome.

Master Chief and DOOM slayer can **** off. :P I just think it would be weird to see them there. But then again, it has Snake, which also feels freaking weird.
