CAUSE

This behavior occurs when the Xbox 360 console experiences a hardware failure.

If MS has a section about this on their tech support page, it exists. 

Theres probably some Xbox360s that have broken(mine hasn't, nor have any of my friends) but this video could show us that maybe not everybody was telling the truth when trying to say their Xbox360s have gotten the 3 red lights of death.

edit: Dang the person above me got to the same response before me.......but i agree with him..probably some are fake.

An interesting thought, and good job thinking of that I guess. However, I've personally have had my launch unit give me the R.L.O.D. and it wasn't because of a faulty powerbar (it was plugged into the wall anyway) but straight up hardware failure. While I do believe that there are a handful of people who lie to smear the console-I can't imagine why though- but to claim that the console doesn't break is ridiculous.CaptainUber

 It's funny that if you show a video of one breaking, everyone buys it, but when you see a video showing how you can fake it, everyone tries to debunk it.

 After 'all I want for Christmas is a PSP' would you not hold it past Sony to encourage people to doctor videos and troll forums to try to make the competition look bad?

 No one is claiming the console doesn't break, I cliam that good percentage of the stories are fabricated and this proves it...

yeah one time my 360 got red lights because i didn't push the HDD all the way. and i just pushed it in and tada.

people get red lights for really dumb reasons like that too.

The TC is claming that all the videos of broken 360s is faked by Sony fanboys. There is real videos of broken 360s, but this showed that the 'ring of death' can be faked.

Obviously they are not all faked but the vids of the elites breaking on the first day obviously were.
