Lets say we have a MAC user. That wants to play 360 games. Now he has a choice: Go Windows 8 or buy a 360. In either case MS wins. Nothing bad about MS....

I think it is a great move for MS. Their user base will grow to unprecedented levels!!! A move like this = death to Sony!!!!
Suck for 360 fanboys. The Xbox is almost completely worthless now.

Not everyone is going to have a pc powerfull to do so.
This is nothing but a rumour at this point. All that has been confirmed is that Windows 8 integrates the Xbox Live service in some way (no features have been revealed). There are reportedly Xbox 360 references in the Windows 8 kernel, but without any context this could refer to just about anything related to the new Xbox Live integration.

Now why would Microsoft integrate Xbox Live for PC if their intention is to not let PC gamers play Xbox games:?

...to provide a more solid platform than GFWL for their (eventual) new games?
I don't know, I'm not holding my breath till it's done. It's too early to tell anyways. We'll know only after a confirmation from Microsoft.

To use the Xbox Live name to bring people to Games for Windows? They did try the same thing with Windows Phone 7.
ya like the pc community are gonna wanna pay a monthly fee to play 360 games, low resolution, and no multiplayer cross platform
Who would want to buy a 360 is i have a PC that can play both systems,if anything any move like that will take sales away from the xbox 360,not to mention piracy will sky rocket even more on PC.Lets say we have a MAC user. You don't need a powerfull PC. A old and cheap 8800GT will play games at better resolution than a 360.Lets say we have a MAC user. That wants to play 360 games. Now he has a choice: Go Windows 8 or buy a 360. In either case MS wins. Nothing bad about MS....

Xbox 360 is like Adobe Reader for DirectX based content i.e. it just a non-portable player.
As a base level, a Windows 8 based laptop with AMD Llano A6/A8 or AMD Trinity is a portable HD gaming platform. MS is in position for reaching VHS type standardisation for HD gaming/HD interactive entertainment.

MS XNA developed games runs on compact dotNET framework. Both Xbox 360 and Windows PC can run compact dotNET framework.
Both Windows Vista/7 PC and Xbox 360 already has common APIs e.g. xaudio, xinput and 'etc'.
dotNET framework is like Jave VM without language restrictions e.g. dotNET framework has C#, VB .NET, Delphi .NET and 'etc'.
...That'd be brilliant.what if they charge people $200 to get the 360 on their PC? and on top of that $60 a year for online gameplay?

Yes, I hope this comes true, then I can play all the 360 games on a future PC that I plan to make sometime in the future :P

Just avoid Intel IGP powered PC e.g. run Crysis 2 PC at Xbox 360 level on Intel HD 3000.

Yeah, I'm staying away from Intel IGP's :) I'll probably go with a GTX 580 or a Radeon equivalent, depending on what's available when I make it.
It's a brilliant move. Those who play games on their PC are not the same that buys consoles. Consoles still give you a very different software and hardware package in a different setting than a PC does. There are seperate markets.
If anything, this could increase the sales of 360 games which will make more publishers and developers make games on the 360.

You don't need a powerfull PC. A old and cheap 8800GT will play games at better resolution than a 360.As I just said before, people who want to play PC games are going to go out and buy a PC. The rest of the core market will stick with gaming consoles. They offer two seperate and enjoyable experiances no matter what the most diehard of PC fanboys may say.
Lets say we have a MAC user. That wants to play 360 games. Now he has a choice: Go Windows 8 or buy a 360. In either case MS wins. Nothing bad about MS....

This makes no sense. Currently a Mac user has no choice but to buy a 360, so Microsoft is winning anyway. Mac users don't buy Macs for games so games on Windows won't stop people from buying Macs. This could potentially stop people from buying Xbox's though since a lot of windows gamers buy Xbox's. Nice try though.

ForXbox Live games, MS could brick user's Xbox Live accounts.

It's all good, but can't see a possible problem here? What would stop devs from not making a PC version of a multiplat? They would just give PC gamers the 360 version and be done with that, with none of the PC specific advantages. They would save a lot of money though.[QUOTE="TheMoreYouOwn"]Well...except Xbox exclusivity. PAL360
In real world thats not a problem by any means. 360 wont lose any game and more ppl will be able to play them.
True but if this was to happen, I would ditch my 360 and just use PC / PS3. At the moment Forza 3 is the only reason I still use the 360, if I could play it on my PC then....[QUOTE="TheMoreYouOwn"]Well...except Xbox exclusivity. PAL360

If you're trying to push consoles, yes it will have an effect.

I see it as more revenue and a chance to inscrease their player base by leaps over what they have now. Think about this, MS makes money on every Xbox game sold (royalties). Now if people where buying these same games to play on PC (because they don't have an Xbox) MS still makes money. Not really sure how it would effect the royalty free games currently on Windows.
I am guessing crossplatform matchmaking between PC and Xbox but only if you purchased the Xbox version of the game to play on PC.
Just seems like a gigantic waste of time to me. They should be making the service better, not spreading it to the PC probably months before the next system comes out. Will anybody actually use this or care?

Will Xbla games be availabla aswell?
If this happens, I don't expect the feature to be available until the 360 is near its end. Maybe by the time Windows 8 launches next year the 360 will be nearing its death or maybe the feature won't be available at the launch of the OS.
Either way, I still doubt this is true. In fact, I'd be very shocked if it proved to be.
