Xbox360 just got back from repair center

Well I shoulden't say it got back, because they REPLACED it with a perfectly good new one! And on top of that they included a one month live subscription!

Im very satisfied, however my 360 might have to break after a month ;)

Just to all the crap I hear from lemmings and cows I thought I should let you guys know, 360s DO break quiet often, but MS Customer service MORE then compensates.

8 $ dollars of xbox live credit does not compensate for not being able to play the 360 for 3 weeks. I stole my 360 from my brother, but if I had bought one, and had it break right after I bought Halo 3, I would have been extremely bitter, even if I did get a free replacement a few weeks later.

yeah my 360's DVD tray died and they replaced it within 1 week with a brand new one...im happy :) that was like 6 months ago...after 6 months my 360 is still running like brand new :)

I'd like to get a 360, but it's threads like these that prevent me from doing so... 
It's a shame the 360 was so poorly designed.  Lots of great games.

I just got mine back a few days ago and they did the same for me. It was a note basically saying in order to let you get back to gaming faster we are replacing your console instead. I was impatient and bought an elite so now I have two and one ps3. I will be giving my brother the other 360.

It is annoying but it is free to repair or replace for rrod which is the main hardware failure. Also I had mine since launch and it barely went out a month ago and the new 360s failure issues have improved drastically.

so was that one month free to cmpensate for tyour lost month of XBL, or did they pause ur XBL service?

my ps3 broke..well actually i broke it when i bumped my dreser and it fell onto my rug. it wouldn't work. sony sent me a prepaid next day shipping box which i had put my ps3 in and sent out to them tuesday they got my ps3 wensday and sent a a brand spankin new one the same day. i thought they were sending it back because i thought it would take me 2 weeks to get my ps3 back so i called customer service and they said that sony had sent me a new unit. i got the unit that friday instead of the next monday ups tracking said it would arrive. sony's customer service is MUCH better than microsoft but it helps knowing that there aren't thousands of other systems getting replaced thanks to the ps3s low failure rate.
