Xbox360 slim is greater than ps3 slim.

Heres the deal in terms of the 3 home consoles.

I have all the consoles, all the handhelds, a gaming pc, no bias, uncharted 2 alongside mario galaxy series has been the greatest console experience this generation for me, meanwhile pc games continue to consume most of my time.

HOWEVER. the xbox360 slim takes away the overall console crown, software wise, its debatable. All three systems have a good library, but 360 has a greater number of great games and mostly superior ps3/xbox360 cross-ports. The ps3 online store pricing is better, microsoft points are a rip-off in this country, but xbox360 has better online overall. Wii's online is...lacking.

In the end to each his own on the software front.

BUT, not debatable = xbox360 slim wins Hardware-wise, the xbox360 slim is smaller, MUCH quieter and outright sexier than the ps3. The wireless adapter built into the 360 slim is also far superior, I get way better reception even though my xbox is further away from router than the ps3, which gets poorer signal. Wii wireless adapter sucks balls, and it's not fair comparing the wii to these two, it follows a different philosophy in terms of hardware, not to diminish it's software library in any way.

Hardware wise - xbox360 slim is the best console this gen. Good power, awesome controller, no noise and overall very sturdy. Couple that with the broadest library of games on a console and it's a game/hardware leader out of the three consoles. THe old xbox360 is a bucket of bolts, but this is a HUGE improvement.

In the end the only real winner here is the gamer. I wish everybody could experience the best of all the gaming platforms, every one has something amazing to offer.

I don't consider that to be well formulated considering that you left out things like blu-ray and the strength of PS3 exclusives in determining which system is "greater". I know both systems have really good games, but the PS3 exclusives are the ones that make the PS3 library a little bit more diverse in terms of high quality VARIETY. Your "well formulated opinion" seems to just leave out a lot and most of your comments are subjective. My PS3 doesn't really make any noise. Your post seems to indicate that the Slim Xbox 360 is MUCH quieter than the PS3 Slim. This suggests that the PS3 Slim's fan speed is noticeably loud enough to hear when it really isn't at all...

Therefore, are you saying that the Xbox 360 Slim is quiet while the PS3 slim is actually noisy..? Claiming that it's just a little more quieter than the PS3 would have been understandable, but your criticism doesn't take that lightly..

Also, I don't buy the Xbox 360 wireless card being that much faster UNLESS you are using wireless N, which will give you the benefits. Most people don't even own wireless N routers. Xbox360 has more games that aren't shooters. Aside from blu-ray which is frankly useless for games this generation, the ps3 has been playing catch up. And the xbox360 has had no more hardware revisions than the ps3, with it's stupid number of versions. The wii wireless adapter sucks, while the other two consoles have great signal, the wii can't even detect the network, onyl if I take it 10m closer does it detect anything.

The Wii's adaptor works fine for me. Maybe it's your router.

Blu-ray is definitely not useless for gaming. There are so many articles and games refuting what you just claimed, it's not even funny.

More games =/= better library

Ask yourself this: Would you rather want the best of the best for each genre your interested in? Or would you want a bunch of games of the same genre, even though you know that they aren't as good as the best thing?

Example: Why the hell would I want Ninja Blade when I could buy Ninja Gaiden II instead (it's also cheap now)? This example is using Xbox 360 games too! Typically people tend to get the best of the best and the most popularity. You typically don't have the time to play 100's of games and if you do, there are some that definitely stand out and make you say: "I should have just bought this game only because it does x, y, z better than the other game.

Original 360, 360 with HDMI, 360 is the Jasper core (The shrunken one correct?,) the 360 Elite (which is the loudest console I've ever heard,) and the 360 slim.

Also, 360 4GB slim can't play Halo Reach :P

Blu-Ray allows for uncompressed audio, higher resolution cutscenes, more storage. I like it.

While I prefer my 360 over my PS3 in terms of game time, if you were debating hardware, and which is greater, I'd have to say the PS3, simply because it offers more for the price.They are pretty equal now, but the PS3 has built in Bluray, which takes the cake imo. Now if someone already had a stand alone Bluray player, and wanted to get a console, I would say the 360 slim, simply because of it's game library, which the PS3 seems to be catching up rapidly.

My 60 GB PS3 sounds like a hover vacuum. Only real noise I had with my 20gb Xbox was it's drive and HDD noise. Power brick was almost silent.

My 360 slim is quite but the power brick makes 10 times more noise.

Now with that said, the 360s still doesn't beat the ps3 out in hardware because of Blu-ray, in which you have to factor in because it's part of the hardware. The 360 still doesn't have a web browser, in which t'ss the only system (let alone console) to not have 1 this gen. The "fat" ps3 (1st gen 60G) still beats out the 360s in everything hardware wise though.

so says the biggest hermit on system wars :roll: God of war 3 is 10 hours, uncharted is 12, mgs4 is 20. Doesn't matter what you say really. And the PC is not the best because you say so.

EDIT: on the first playthrough. Second doesn't count.

if we are talking hardware 360 slim vs ps3 slim the 360 has better wifi and the ps3 has a better photo viewer, movie player, bluray, music player, and a bettter web browser. the ps3 hardware is still better.
