I'm curious to see the majority's preference on what is the best option, if given a choice;

1- Having XboxOne GPU more powerful than PS4 but at the cost of loosing Kinect 2.0 (and staying at $500 price point).

2- Keeping it the way it is now. Kinect 2.0 is a promising tech and more appealing than just raw GPU power.

How about it stays the same specs wise but they lose the Kinect and release for the same price as the PS4?

I'd rather keep Kinect.

I really don't know why people want to spend 8 more years gaming solely with a dual-analog control. Yah, that's fun with how many limitations there are in place. At least the Kinect in addition to a controller can help provide something more to gaming. Having a barely noticable jump in graphical fidelity does not.

Before the PS3 was released, they were saying how it was so much more powerful than the 360. Maybe it supposedly being less powerful is a good thing.

Agreed. As I posted before, I am open to new things in gaming, own the first Kinect and have enjoyed it. For some, its cool to not like it now. Others haven't been open to it, and others haven't seen or played anything that they could/have enjoyed. I have enjoyed it, and look forward to what else can be done with it. The graphics in the games are fine, Imo. They look better than 360/ps3 and will get better as gen moves on.

What's wrong with having it as an add-on instead of bundled? That way everyone gets to enjoy better graphics (which is what gamers want), and for families with kids, they too get to enjoy Kinect as well, but as an add-on.

If it's not bundled then it'll simply be relegated to "gimmick add-on" status like it was last gen, and only party games will be made for it because that's the only thing people will buy it for.

If 100% of Xbox One users have a Kinect sensor then more devs will be encouraged to implement it in their games for additional touches.

Kinect is fine as long as gameplay doesn't depend on it.  Voice commands are actually cool.

I also have a bias toward PC gaming so any incremental hardware bump is irrelevant to SLI or CrossFire setups.  I'd rather MS either adopt the PC model and do away with consoles all together or stay true to the console form and do something unique if I have to own their proprietary system to play their games.

That is a difficult question as it depends how more powerful we are talking.

That said having the kinect as an add on relegates it to a hands free remote and destined for shovelware or integration as an after thought similar to the current kinect. So im glad its being included with every console this time around.

I don't care, can't comment on kinect because i haven't use it yet and one that wants really good graphics and performance sticks to PC gaming..consoles are not going to give you that.

Kinect is a very cool piece of equipment, but that said, I don't really want it. Other than being able to say "Xbox: TV/Netflix" and it turn to what I say, I don't really care for it. Plus, if they did something cool with it, I could always buy one down the road.

Uhm, nothing? Dont see where I addressed its packaging? So, I take it you would rather have it more powerful than the PS4? It is more powerful than the 360/ps3, and that's what im playing now so it is an upgrade. If having the MOST power is the most important thing, than why game on consoles? PC destroys them about 6 months to a year after launch.

I'd love to see this 'source' of yours that states this. On top of all the stuff we have heard publicly about the PS4 specs being superior, I also have it on really great authority that the PS4 is stronger than the One.

And you've never bought a product like this before? I remember having to get up to change the TV station. When the TV was old, there was only TV's with remote controls available. My father used to piss and moan about this generation creating things that bring on laziness. But if we wanted to watch TV, guess what? Forced adoption would have been bricking 360's unless you bought a kinect. Thats forced adoption. This is the product, as its offered.

Would I want the Xbox One to be more powerful than the PS4? Sure, that would be nice. However, what I would really want is if the Xbox One were the weaker console spec-wise, yet priced accordingly. Paying $100 more for what amounts to weaker hardware is a hard pill to swallow.

It should at least make me feel that i'm the target audience. With all the TV, NFL, american multimedia shit as well as a line up full of shooters and shallow games, no amount of power would make me buy the console. Not to mention my room is too small for Kinect anyway, so it's an extra $150 of useless scraps.

You need to forget about the xbox one being more powerful than a PS4 the specs point otherwise it would be easier to argue that it's equal at best.

I am really excited for both consoles actually and have both pre-ordered. As far as launch exclusives go, I'm most excited for Killzone 4. NOT because I think it looks better than PC games. Put simply, I want it because I've enjoyed the other games in the series.

Comparing numbers or launch title games is really silly. I rather look at the studios who will be making the games for consoles years and years after its come out.

Sony has a far stronger first-party studio portfolio right now. MS could have some strong new studioes/IPs, but i'm afraid that judging by MS' history, they may just as well close down projects or studios due to low or even moderate sales success. It seems like MS only really supports game studios or IPs that are big performers for them, whereas some studios may need time to grow. Some of the best 1st party Sony studios had humble beginnings with games that weren't mega-blockbusters.

WHOA!! You cannot like games for enjoyments sake; want both consoles because of just liking games!! It has to be about graphics, power, bragging about a company that does not pay you, and feeling apart of a team!.............I........I'm sorry .....I think you need to leave SW

You guys aren't understanding the question...[QUOTE="metal_zombie"][QUOTE="ShaineTheNerd"] You guys aren't understanding the question...

It a leading question that needs not to be answered because it so obvious what any rational person would choose

It's a hypothetical question: Kinect or better GPU.

What's wrong with having it as an add-on instead of bundled? That way everyone gets to enjoy better graphics (which is what gamers want), and for families with kids, they too get to enjoy Kinect as well, but as an add-on.

So do you / don't you want it to have Kinect as add-on?

Also, do you / don't you want it to be more powerful at the same $500 price point minus Kinect?

you may say, "sure, since the Xbox One has the weakest hardware of next gen, surely they have some great games coming out?" no not really.. unless you consider Project Spark a great game LOL Titanfall looks like shit btw it struggles to run a Source engine game on 60 fps at below 1080p with prebaked lighting and terrible physics. Im throughly dissapointed with Microsoft, usually they have the best hardware, but this time around they have the weakest hardware and the highest price point =[ what happened there Microsoft?

[QUOTE="cainetao11"][QUOTE="donalbane"][QUOTE="ShaineTheNerd"] Well said. Which one had your attention as of right now?

I am really excited for both consoles actually and have both pre-ordered. As far as launch exclusives go, I'm most excited for Killzone 4. NOT because I think it looks better than PC games. Put simply, I want it because I've enjoyed the other games in the series.

WHOA!! You cannot like games for enjoyments sake; want both consoles because of just liking games!! It has to be about graphics, power, bragging about a company that does not pay you, and feeling apart of a team!.............I........I'm sorry .....I think you need to leave SW

:D lol

Well if I were designing it, I'd deff. pull a "Sega Saturn" and give it two processors and make Kinect optional.

I'd keep the price down too with a subscription model and no optical drive. (would be a download only system)
