    while playing ingame online and i hit the xbox button the system freezes a lot.  it's so annoying cuase i have to turn off the entire system.  doesn't happen every time but maybe once every 15 times or so.

It has a warrenty use it.wooooode
it's not broken. just freezes ingame online sometimes when you hit the xbox button. why should i send it in for that? it's just annoying as hell

It's glitchy, happens in a lot of games. The dashboard glitch was infamous when the 360 first came out. Also don't check other gamers gamercards whilst online, it does the same thing then too.

Indeed. It has frozen on me at least 20 times. It is really bad when it happens in SVR because I put all this effort into a match and then it freezes on me and I have to redo it.

Are you running it on an uneven surface like carpet? And is it in an area where many disc skips can happen?

no never. just usually in cod3. and yes it's on a flat surface. and what does it say in the xbox guide? don't hit the xbox button while playing a game? i doubt it

Have you tried calling customer support?

i don't think it's a customer support problem. it just seems like a glitch that sometimes the 360 can't handle the game and the guide at the same time. it seems just how a computer freezes

Depends on the game, much like any console. Don't double-press the guide button (out of frustration), that can often freeze the console.

You ought to get it exchanged. Mine froze up a lot right before the red rings of death hit. Hope you got a warranty. (Bestbuy is where I got mine. Warranty is great there. Costco is good too)

Um that sounds like you got a problem if when you push a button it freezes, Ive never heard of one button causing your system to freeze.

Only ever frozen once and that was from the crazy frag fest explosive match in lost planet, not even crackdown with its crazyness has even slowdown my 360. Maybe you should send it in to be tested mate.

My friend's 360 has never had any problems whatsoever.

Then again he only uses it for MP when he has friends over and we rarely play it for too long at any time.

There is no denying that there is faulty hardware, but when something like that happens Microsoft, if still under warranty, will fix it.

Not letting a working piece of hardware breathe will cause the same problems.

Only time it froze on me was the Oblivion glitch. And the guide used to be wierd but the fixed it.

Only happen to me twice. I heard some people had PS3 freeze on them too.

My game froze once during - of all games - lego star wars.  I had my system on the carpet, though.  Since then, I haven't had any freezes.  IF you hit the xbox button, it will pause the game and take you to the menu.  But I've never had it crash my game.
