Excited?
Oh wow! That's some great news there. Loved the Wii U game and the Xenoblade games in general. Was hoping that they'd bring this to the Switch. Day one for sure.
And with that, the Wii U can be fully laid to rest.
I won't be getting it myself as I already finished it way back when.
But for those who have not played it: strongly recommended. Just a heads up though: It lighter on story compared to other Xenoblades and is more focused on exploration.
It says Definitive Edition, what are the differences from the Wii U version? I don't really see from the video, it looks like I'm watching the Wii U trailer.
@davillain: Well if the Switch 2 backwards compatibility rumours are true then it will be on the Switch 2. 😉

Works for me. Backwards compatibility these days is a bonus for me. I'm excited to get Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition.
About time. I've been wanting to play the game again. I was gonna bust out the Wii U but I was hoping for a Switch port all these years. I'm glad I waited. The seamless world in this game is awesome to explore.
Edit- Just watched the trailer and yo are we getting an Epilogue story. They straight up showed the ending of the game and showed more than what the original had. And that song playing in the trailer seems new? I honestly don't remember that song. It's been years so maybe I just don't remember it.

It will be funny when they announce that it is basically a straight port for full price. Meanwhile, any time Sony ports a game over people complain 😆
@SolidGame_basic: That's kind of why I want to know if I should bother at any point since I own the Wii U version already.
@p3anut: Yeah been awhile since I’ve played the game but the ending in that trailer definitely seemed to point towards some extra content for the game.
@SolidGame_basic: Well people are probably more accepting of this since Xenoblade Chronicles X is a 9 year old game locked on a system that only sold 13.56 million units. However something like Horizon: Zero Dawn is only 7 years old game that can be played just fine on both the PS4 and PS5. Of course there is the wonderful tidbit that Sony also increased the price of the game on their digital storefront. 😅
I don't see any reason to call this version "Definitive". Looks like just another remaster. I'll pass.
Well that was random. They're finally putting this game on the Switch. Here's more info about the game.
