@mesome713: I got mine downloaded already. But I had a problem trying to download it while on sleep mode, I kept getting an error for some reason and the data was corrupted, so I had to download it while the system was on. I just played Hyrule Warriors until it finished.
@p3anut: I forgot about the sleep mode downloading, i just disabled my auto-power off mode and was gonna let it go. Thanks for the info though, might come handy to others that might have issues.
As someone who already beat the game
The game is great, visuals is gorgeous, the world map is REALLY BIG, using the robot was cool, story was great, BUT!!!
Big major spoiler below, do not hover it if you do not want to see it
It needs an actual ending. I'm guessing there is going to be a sequel.

Guess I'll ask the important question, how would you rate this game? Is this a must buy?
@freedom01: Do the characters fill the really overused tropes that Anime usually have that give the characters a horrid sense of familiarity, repetitiveness and deja vu?
You just know charizard is going to post something about The Witcher 3 in this thread.
He's not much into PC gaming, so he missed some of the other open world RPGs on PC, and Playstation also got port of Witcher for the first time, so I can see why he praises Witcher 3's open world everywhere now. Not to mention, the game itself is amazing as well.
@davillain-: I would rate it an 8 or 9/10, If you are a Wii U owner and enjoy JRPG or had enjoyed the previous Xenoblade, then it is a must have. But dont put up the highest expectation on the game is what I would advice
@ultimateimp: that is up to you to decide
You mean the empty one with barely anything in it?
It might end up being more my cup of tea if the playing it part is enjoyable, but I would be hard pressed to believe there is a reasonable argument for any open world games actual game world this year over The Witcher 3. From how it looks, to how it's built, to how they tie in the questing and narrative with it the game world is one of gaming's best.
The game is quite a bit different than other open worlds if its like Xenoblade. The world basically has nothing to it aside from sightseeing for the most part.
The thing that made Xenoblade better than just about every other open world like game wasn't based on the world itself. The constant positive feedback for getting things done was just ridiculously enticing I think. All the world is is a container for monsters and items pretty much, yet the amount of reward that you get from fighting and collecting ad nauseum just kept you going.
Overall it is fight crap, get stronger, repeat: the game, but with quests, nice scenery, and a main story that keeps the loop going in different areas with higher levels. The main story also gives the game some sort of direction or reason as well of course. In other words its a big jrpg with a ton of rewards for beating stuff and imo interesting combat. This is something that most wrpgs (actually imo none so far at least on the reward part) never get right.
It definitely will have its flaws compared to other open worlds and even xenoblade chronicles but its the improvement on the jrpgness of it all that gets me.
@freedom01: forgot to ask is there something similar to gem mixing thing (in Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii)) in XCX? ...I actually like that lol. :P
@superbuuman: sadly, they didnt have any gem mixing, or any gems at all. If you want to get gears with stat buffs, you will have to find it from drops by defeating enemies. You can get some buffed gears, if you raise your exp with merchant (I mean companies, each company specializes in different gear types)
The game's getting very positive impressions almost everywhere.
Not in Japan.
Not from Famitsu. But it got a great review from Dengeki.
Famitsu's 34/40 isn't bad though. The biggest reason they docked points is because it apparently has a lot of cutscenes (yet that didn't stop them giving MGS4 a perfect score).
map is big but compression make more compressed due some monsters are really big[just make to make unique on battle] + gears or dolls[skells] are mostly battle accesories than other xeno series[gears are part of the story] but high chances is not due its most likely a starting point of X to Y[technically needed a sequel that make explosive story]
