So which online service is better or would there be an advantage being in both?

well...steam has games and basically does the same thing as xfire, so steam
at least xfire doesn't take up 7 GBs :P
Both! Steam for my games, Xfire as the Friends list Hub, with a snazzy Broadcast feature and to store my Pictures, however Xfire Video recorder is horrid in my opinion. I use Fraps for that, good thing you can get 4GB Ram for $50 or less now days

I can't Stand Xfire Video Record mainly because It doesn't cap the frame rate to the recording speed like Fraps, at least not on my PC and I even checked the options you get to change the recording speed but it doesn't cap it, unless I somehow skipped it.
So If I were to pick a speed to record at 25-30fps and my Game is running at 60-100+ it comes out choppy as hell, with Fraps I pick to record at 30fps or whatever it also caps my games frame rate to match the recording speed and the video comes out nice and Smooth.
I don't want to keep changing the recording speed in Xfire on every game I play just to get a smooth video in the end.
So I have STEAM;XFire when playing games and Fraps added in when I'm in need to record some Video.
steam is better, but they are different, and they are both free... so why not both?So which online service is better or would there be an advantage being in both?
MizFitAwesome
xfire sells games?sethman410no, i only used it when i played battlefield 2, because it wasn't on steam
Steam ... uses all my steam games + whichever I add. Steam doesnt take 7 gigs ... steam is about 1/10 the size as xfire ... add GAMES to it and yeah the folder is gonna get bigger but thats the same as installing a game inside your xfire folder and then complaining about a 7gig xfire install....well...steam has games and basically does the same thing as xfire, so steam
at least xfire doesn't take up 7 GBs :P

Both are great, I've been using Steam since 05, I like the fact that I can buy game on demand and stop putting in disks in and out of the drive. I mainly use Xfire to record my play time and join friends.
