Adam states while playing the MGS4 demo at TGS, that the D3 controller is TouchSense technology. guess that pretty much confirms it. but why is not sony letting that info out ? discuss

btw what is touchsense? it says its immersion new technolgy. but wow im excited to find out more when sony lets out more info on this new technolgy found in the dual shock 3 controller. until then discuss.

updated, found some info on this touchsense tech

In before "G4  "

But hey, we can only hope that Sony exec was misinformed... Very doubtful though. Maybe MGS4 comes boxed with a special controller. :o

its the key button in mgs4 for a action button.

Um what?

its the key button in mgs4 for a action button. but hey we shoudl see more in the future about immersion new touchsense tech.

lol@ triangle button. Can adam expalin that one?

not sure, he was just talking about MGS4 and how the triangle button is liek the main action button what ever that means. then he states he can notice the touchsense tech within the controller. that was about it.

It says Touchsense allows you to use touchscreens and actually feel like you're pressing a button. Pretty cool.

But how the hell does that relate to an actual button on a controller?

They were playing MGS4 with it, for example, and when getting shot at from a certain direction, the controller would...well, rumble in that general direction. That'd be like our own little personal radar!

Instead of the controller just shaking, Different parts of the control shake indicating direction I think.

I remember hearing on one podcast a reporter playing MGS4 could tell the location of explosions around him just from the rumble.

Obviously you have never touched a ps3 in your life, because Lair's and Warhawk's motion sensing kick a$$

PS. He didnt say the rumble was "stronger", he said it was "BETTER". To different things.
